Specialists of the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Novosibirsk Region and the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade, after checking the stores "Kantselyarsky Dom", "Chitay Gorod", "AlexVill", "Metro Cash & Carry", "Partner" revealed that the excess difference between wholesale and retail prices for office paper is 30%. This was reported in the press service of the regional department of the FAS.

“Wholesale paper prices are over 30% less than what we see on the shelves. This is already taking into account the current decline. Previously, we observed paper for both 1,200 [rubles] and 1,800 [roubles]. At retail, paper is sold at a lower price, but it still differs significantly from wholesale prices. Therefore, today this is already the fourth retail trade enterprise, therefore, requests will be sent as part of the monitoring. Let's find out who is overpricing," Dmitry Sukhoplyuev, Acting HEAD of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Novosibirsk Region, told Novosibirsk News.

Earlier, the press service of the regional department of the antimonopoly department said that, together with the prosecutor's office of the Novosibirsk region, they checked the validity of the increase in paper prices in relation to three large wholesale market players.

After that, the department noted that the network of stores "Partner" - "Accountant" - "Marker" reduced the cost of one pack of office paper from 730 to 630 rubles.

The rise in prices for office paper began in the second week of March this year after the announcement of the Finnish chemical company Kemira to suspend supplies of sodium chlorate to RUSSIA and Belarus. This substance bleaches pulp for the production of white paper.

At the same time, manufacturers of office paper of the Snegurochka brand (Mondi SLPK company) and SvetoCopy (Svetogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill) told Izvestia that they did not raise the wholesale cost of products.
