The work schedule of the President of Belarus is always very eventful. Alexander Lukashenko holds meetings and working meetings on the most pressing issues of the country's development, regularly visits the regions, makes foreign visits and himself receives foreign guests, communicates with journalists, signs decrees and laws... And even when there are no public events, this does not mean at all that The HEAD of state is not working. However, even during rest, be it hockey training or chopping wood, Alexander Lukashenko will find a reason for another assignment. As he likes to say, everything must be based on life.
The "Week of the President" project is for those who want to keep up with the head of state, to be aware of the most current statements and decisions of the Belarusian leader.
Which three areas did Lukashenka put under “iron control?” Why Belarus would be wiped off the face of the earth for repeating the US experience and whether chastity is appropriate during election campaigns. Strict restrictions for drone owners: what they are required to do in the next six months and what motivated the President’s decision.
Which guests from near and far abroad have visited the Palace of Independence and how they can help avoid world war. A “secret” conversation with Putin, which was not immediately reported in the media, and new ambitious projects. How sanctions have affected relations with the Leningrad region and whether Belarus is waiting for mercy from overseas. What practical lesson did the head of state give in the Mogilev region on the eve of Teacher’s Day and what will the village of the future be like?
Answers to these and other questions are in the new issue of BELTA's special project "Week of the President".
PERSONNEL ARRANGEMENT. How did Lukashenko puzzle the local vertical? Lukashenko to district heads: force your subordinates to do it. What were we talking about? The President's working week began on September 25 with consideration of personnel issues. One of the key messages that the head of state addressed to the new leaders of the local power vertical concerned working with subordinates and being more demanding. All for the sake of the main goal - completing the assigned tasks.
Alexander Lukashenko recalled what took place last week on the development of livestock farming, where a number of tasks were set. Many of those whom the President addressed on September 25 were also present at this event. “The tasks that have been set in the field of livestock farming are clear and known to you. The only thing I ask you is: you know, especially those who worked in the agricultural sector, what it means to get into a position. They will come to you now and tell you that this or that is impossible,” the President said.
“But, as I often say, we are not at war. In peacetime, we do what we have always done and what we know how to do. Force your subordinates to do this,” the head of state admonished.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that in all regions there are enough problematic issues, but three regions need increased attention: “the Gomel region, the Mogilev region - this is iron control.”
Set aside chastity when elections are around the cornerThe President’s conversation with the leaders of the local vertical did not avoid the topic of preparations for the upcoming election campaigns in the country. “I ask you very much and emphasize once again: there is no Communist Party, everything is in your hands (comparison with Soviet times, when local party bodies played a significant role - BELTA’s note). There are major electoral campaigns ahead, where the ideological component is of paramount importance. Work, think about who will represent you in parliament, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. We absolutely do not hide the fact that we will support someone. This is natural. If we now, you know, imagined ourselves to be so chaste, they would simply laugh at us, - said the head of state. - Not in any state, even the most democratic... Take, the Americans taught us all the time. You see, How the election campaign was and is going on there. God forbid that we carry it out like this, especially by mail. And if we had carried out this way, we would not be here now, but before we would have been wiped off the face of the earth.”
Alexander Lukashenko during personnel decision-making“Therefore, we have our own tasks, we have our own goals. Identify worthy patriotic people, professionals. And support them in parliamentary elections and in the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. I am not hiding anything, and you have nothing to hide. But these must be professionals, worthy people. So that when people learn about the candidates we support, they don’t throw all sorts of nasty things in our faces. We have plenty of smart, talented people,” added Alexander Lukashenko.
Problematic plant in Molodechno. Does the enterprise have potential, what are the prospects and what did Lukashenka order?Separately, Alexander Lukashenko inquired about the state of affairs in the Molodechno region. He asked about this Yuri Gorlov, who was appointed assistant to the President - inspector for the Gomel region, and who previously worked as chairman of the Molodechno district executive committee. And although the situation in the region is stable, all the main indicators of socio-economic development are being met, there are also difficulties.
The President asked what the most problematic enterprise in Molodechno was. It turned out to be a metal structures plant. The enterprise does not have the necessary capacity, and the solution to this problem has already been involved at various levels, a number of instructions have been given, including by the Prime Minister.
“The capacities of the Molodechno district and the MINSK region are not enough (to load the plant with work. - BELTA note). They made a proposal to use this enterprise in the industry of the republic,” Yuri Gorlov explained the essence of the problem.
At the same time, he stated that there are other enterprises in the country that produce similar products. Therefore, the plant is looking for orders abroad, and is currently working on a project with Russian partners. “I think that already this year we will start producing experimental samples of containers for transporting LNG (liquefied natural gas). If we get involved with them, then, in principle, the enterprise will already be 60-70% loaded. We will be able to do it. There are already samples,” said the former head of the district.
“If you do it, they will order it from you. Because they have a huge demand there. You just need to do it well,” the President responded.
“This is not only (for transportation - BELTA note) by rail. Also for sea vessels,” Yuri Gorlov clarified.
"Especially!" - noted the head of state.
Yuri Gorlov continued: “We have started working with the Leningrad region and St. Petersburg. We are working together. They do not refuse, they are meeting halfway. I recently had a personal meeting with these representatives. We are working on this issue.”
At the end of the conversation, Alexander Lukashenko instructed Yuri Gorlov to take control of the identified issues while working in his new position and subsequently report: “This year will pass, the next one will begin - warn the government that you have all this under control. Report to me . What "They did it in Molodechno and they can do it for metal structures; no other enterprise in the country can do it. This is a strong enterprise. And see that it works for the whole country. We must proceed from this."
STOP DRONE. Lukashenko signed a high-profile decreeOn Monday, September 25, Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed a high-profile decree “On state registration and operation of civil unmanned aerial vehicles.” The most discussed norm of this document was the establishment of a virtually complete ban on drones for individuals: drones can neither be imported into the territory of Belarus, nor stored, nor operated, nor manufactured. An exception is only for organizations and individual entrepreneurs for the purposes of their entrepreneurial and professional activities in compliance with the requirements established by the decree.
In terms of the import, operation and manufacture of UAVs by individuals, the decree came into force from the moment of its official publication, and in terms of storage and circulation - six months later. Individuals have six months from the date of the official publication of the decree to sell their UAVs to organizations or individual entrepreneurs or transfer them for storage to an authorized organization determined by the government.
Taking into account the current situation in the world and around Belarus, such strict measures seem completely justified. After all, their main goal is to ensure public safety and order in the country.
IT CAN'T BE BETTER? MAYBE. Or how to improve exemplary relations with the Leningrad region of RussiaOn Tuesday, September 26, the delegation of the Leningrad region of Russia, headed by Governor Alexander Drozdenko, was met at the Palace of Independence.
Conventional guideline of one billionWelcoming the guest, Alexander Lukashenko called relations with this Russian region exemplary. “We would really like to do this in Russia (in cooperation with Russia - BELTA’s note) first of all (not including, but first of all),” the head of the Belarusian state emphasized. He expressed confidence that, given the excellent relations between Belarus and the Leningrad region, their effectiveness should be higher. Therefore, the President considers reaching the coveted billion dollars of mutual trade turnover to be quite feasible, but far from the most ambitious task. “We will definitely not limit ourselves to a billion. This is such a conditional guideline for us,” the Belarusian leader noted.
How Lukashenko and Putin agreed to build planes and railwaysAlexander Lukashenko noted that due to changed circumstances in trade with the European Union, the border Leningrad region was forced to reorient itself. “Thank God, this is very beneficial for us, and for Russia too. We will now look at ourselves more and think about how we can develop further,” the President said.
In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko mentioned a telephone conversation that took place the day before with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the implementation of two major projects was discussed - in the field of joint production and maintenance of aircraft and the construction of a second railway line from Belarus to St. Petersburg and the region .
As the President of Belarus said, their meeting is scheduled in mid-October in Kyrgyzstan (the CIS summit will be held in Bishkek), where they plan to discuss these projects in more detail.
“We were talking about the joint production of small-capacity aircraft, which are in great demand and are needed in the Russian Federation. As the President of Russia said, from large airports to remote villages and regions, such aircraft are in demand, especially since they can land on the ground,” explained Alexander Lukashenko .
Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with the Governor of the Leningrad Region of Russia Alexander DrozdenkoBelarus has the relevant competencies, so the President of Russia proposed to build this aircraft together with the Belarusian side, as well as to more intensively develop the production of individual components for the IL-96 and service them in Belarus.
“We can do this. This is a very big piece of work,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
Another project that the leaders of the two countries discussed was the construction of a second railway line from Belarus to St. Petersburg and the region in order to be able to transport large volumes of cargo to Russian ports and from there work for the whole world.
“You understand that this is very important for us. We are engaged in port construction there, infrastructure. But our bottleneck is the railway,” the Belarusian leader noted.
The prospects for the implementation of the projects, according to the President, have already been discussed with Russian departments; a package of necessary documents and materials has been prepared for them, which will be handed over to the head of the Russian state.
“And if Alexander Yuryevich continued to focus on his neighbors, on the European Union, then we probably would not have been dealing with these issues for a long time. So there are no one-sided gains and failures. I think with the problems that we now have ( they are being solved, these problems, we see it), we will cope,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
Why create parallel production if you can always agree on an exchange? The President noted that with the help of the Leningrad region, Belarus has reoriented logistics, domestic manufacturers again have the opportunity to trade in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. “We will strengthen this direction,” the head of state assured.
“For many Western politicians, it was a real discovery that the world is much wider than their narrow ideas about it. As usual, they decided in Russian: let’s get involved in a fight, and then we’ll see. It turned out that if it’s not the Russians, then it won’t work,” - the President gave a metaphorical example.
Thanks to industrial cooperation, Belarus and Russia were able to make the most effective use of each other’s strengths to achieve technological sovereignty, said Alexander Lukashenko. “This will not only allow us to respond to any attempts to pressure the West, but will also create a new, healthy competitive environment within our union (Union State - BELTA note),” he is convinced.
The President illustrated his words with a simple example - cooperation between Belarus and the Leningrad region in the agricultural sector. Despite the powerful base that both sides have, they do not compete, but successfully find areas where they can support each other.
“Our strengths are the production of agricultural machines and units, grain drying complexes, equipment for feed mills, food production, seed production, and much more,” the President continued. Belarus is actively sharing its developments with farmers of the Leningrad region, including in the field of veterinary medicine, where the first steps have been taken to develop cooperation.
Of interest to Belarus are the achievements of the Leningrad region in livestock breeding, the production of valuable fish species, and the technology of operating greenhouse complexes.
“In turn, farmers of the Leningrad region may benefit from our experience in cultivating winter crops - barley and rapeseed,” added the Belarusian leader. “I also propose to work out in more detail the issues of increasing the supply of Belarusian agricultural machinery, including with the involvement of regional subsidies, as well as equipment for processing industry".
In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko mentioned the experience of such cooperation with Kuban: “They relied on our equipment, we are responding. We are going there with technology, with people... We started with assembly plants, now we have organized joint ventures, strengthened localization. Moreover, we can do it with you,” he noted.
The President noted the continuation of cooperation in the development of transport infrastructure as an important factor. Belarusian enterprises are actively participating in the construction of the Vysotsky grain terminal in the Vyborg region, which will have storage capacity for 210 thousand tons of grain (the terminal's design capacity is 4 million tons per year).
“I am confident that this project will also bring significant benefits to our friends in Latin America: Brazil, Venezuela and other countries,” the Belarusian leader said.
Alexander LukashenkoHe expressed his gratitude to Alexander Drozdenko for attracting domestic enterprises to the implementation of the most important programs for the Leningrad region. One of them is the construction of water purification and water treatment stations. There are 37 turnkey facilities in the Leningrad region using Belarusian technologies.
“They report to me that you have prepared a program for the construction of more than 100 such facilities. Our Development Bank is ready to join in financing it,” the President said.
Among the projects being implemented by the Belarusian side is the construction of a school for 825 places in the Lomonosovsky district. According to Alexander Lukashenko, the government is deciding the issue of allocating a special EXPORT loan.
Speaking about new areas of cooperation, the head of state mentioned the participation of Belarusian design, construction and installation organizations in the comprehensive modernization of fuel and energy complex facilities (boiler houses), the creation and reconstruction of heat supply sources for municipal districts of the region, as well as the supply of Belarusian building materials, road construction equipment, cement, wall materials, prefabricated structures, bitumen, exchange of experience in the application of modern road construction technologies.
Alexander Lukashenko proposed not to create parallel (duplicate) production if it is possible to export certain goods from Belarus. “You and I will always agree on supplies, always, and for the long term. Today we need to spend money on the essentials for you and for us too. Why create parallel production? And the areas I have listed are precisely related to this issue,” explained the Belarusian leader “Such mutual exchange of products is very important.”
“You can count on us, if you need any help, and we can provide it to you, we will definitely do it,” the President added. “We should look very carefully at where we can, complementing each other, seriously work for results.” to achieve the goal that we have set."
DO NOT ALLOW A NEW WORLD WAR. Lukashenko on the main task for diplomats and not onlyForeign guests were received at the Palace of Independence on Thursday, September 28. True, this time - from more distant countries. On this day, the President of Belarus: Kazakhstan, Hungary, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Uganda, Cambodia, the Philippines, Jordan and Colombia.
“I hope that this diplomatic work will contribute to the rapprochement of our peoples and will help the development of truly friendly interstate relations,” Alexander Lukashenko greeted the diplomats.
The President noted that the ambassadors were embarking on their mission in a very difficult period: “Today the whole world is on the difficult path of forming a new structure of international relations, which is steadily moving towards multipolarity. This process is irreversible, no matter how much someone would like it otherwise. It is being built now a new, in my opinion, more fair and reasonable order of interaction between all, and not selected, states on the principles of respect and partnership."
Belarus, which has experienced many upheavals and has repeatedly become a theater of military operations, has well learned the lessons of history, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
“Our main task is to prevent a new world war,” he said. “ Minsk has constantly pursued a very responsible foreign policy. Never in history have we extended our jurisdiction beyond national borders.”
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia to the Republic of Belarus Hector Isidro Arenas Neira and President of Belarus Alexander LukashenkoAmbassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Belarus Nazih Al-Baha ad-Din Al-Naghari and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko“We are pursuing an open and peaceful policy. But not all Western democracies like this. And then the arguments of impotence are used - sanctions,” the Belarusian leader continued.
Addressing diplomats, he emphasized that the countries they represent have repeatedly experienced the effects of illegal restrictive measures from the West. The same as Belarus. “Therefore, we consistently and persistently oppose any illegal restrictive measures that harm not so much us as the whole world,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
The President illustrated his statement with a number of examples. Thus, sanctions against Belarusian potash fertilizers, agricultural products and equipment seriously undermine global food security, leading to a decrease in yields and an increase in food prices , while millions of people around the world are starving.
“I am sure that it is in our common interests to speak even more loudly about this problem and jointly seek the abolition of restrictions on trade, especially on vital items. Moreover, answers to these challenges have already been found,” said the Belarusian leader. “New payment systems are now being actively formed in national currencies, logistics are being restructured. These topics are discussed at the SCO and BRICS platforms. Everyone is tired of constantly waiting for mercy from overseas."
Belarusians, despite all the difficulties and barriers created by their opponents in the West, have not deviated from their path of development, the President said, noting that the country’s economy is confidently entering a growth trajectory.
Belarus, according to him, is open to all people of good will (visa-free entry is established for citizens of many countries) and, despite Western restrictions, hosts a lot of exciting international cultural and sporting events.
“All this reflects the true aspirations of our people and is also a response to those countries where they abuse migrants, tighten entry rules, create barriers, close checkpoints, threaten transport blockades, and simply destroy these people,” the President emphasized.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Belarus Zita Ilona Bencsik and President of Belarus Alexander LukashenkoIn the current situation, the development of trusting and stable ties with friendly partners abroad is of particular importance for Belarus. “And there are a lot of such partners all over the world. You are evidence of this,” the Belarusian leader noted, addressing the ambassadors.
The President recalled that 2023 has been declared the Year of Peace and Creation in Belarus. “I am convinced that you will constantly use these concepts as the main criteria for effectiveness in your work,” he said. “I am confident that your stay here as official representatives of your states will be interesting, rich, and useful from a professional point of view. Closed topics, more I repeat once again, no!
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus Ignatius Graham Mudzimba and President of Belarus Alexander LukashenkoAlexander Lukashenko promised that everything will be done in Belarus to ensure that foreign diplomats can better get to know and understand our country, become more deeply acquainted with its history and culture, and feel the fullness of its cordiality and hospitality. “I sincerely wish you success in fulfilling your important and responsible mission,” the head of state said at the end of the ceremony.
PRACTICAL LESSON IN THE VILLAGE OF THE FUTUREOn Friday, September 29, Alexander Lukashenko visited the Mogilev region on a working trip. The head of state checked how his instructions for the comprehensive repair of roads in promising rural settlements, the development of livestock farming and increasing the production of valuable fish species are being carried out.
About the village of the future“Once upon a time in Soviet times there was a good practice - addresses of excellence. Young people come, they would like to see where it is better,” the President noted upon arrival in the agricultural town of Vishov, Belynichi district.
The President explained that it was no coincidence that the improvement of agricultural towns became the topic of his working trip - a “practical lesson,” as he said. There are almost one and a half thousand of them in Belarus. “To be honest, the rural population in the future will live in agricultural towns, 80-85 percent. The rest of the population will be in large villages,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
Perhaps some unpromising villages will also receive development, but only if there is interest from private individuals.
“But the main thing is agricultural towns,” the head of state emphasized. “Today I would like to see what the village of the future will look like. We write various kinds of candidate’s, doctoral, and dissertations there - it’s a shame to read the title, let alone look at this dissertation. Let’s go to We will write something about these topics and develop them. Moreover, we have enough specialists who know well how it was, how it is and how it will be, that is, a whole layer can and should be raised for reflection and practice."
By the way, people started thinking about creating agricultural towns in Belarus back in the early 2000s. Speaking to the students of the Brest region in 2004, the President said: “We will develop large-scale agriculture - it will be five, six, ten thousand hectares of land, huge complexes, farms, etc., and with them we will preserve villages and create agricultural towns "For one large collective farm or state farm there will be three agricultural towns - we will develop one powerful center and two small ones. A small or medium-sized collective farm may have one agricultural town - a central estate."
Soon, a state program for the revival and development of rural areas for 2005-2010 was adopted. 1,481 master plans were developed for the construction of agricultural towns in the country. Since then, Alexander Lukashenko annually visits agricultural towns during his working trips to the regions and gets acquainted with how life is organized in these settlements. If there are any problems, they are taken under control. And best practices extend throughout the country. Vishov itself received the status of an agricultural town in 2010.
In 2018, the President instructed the government to develop a mechanism for implementing the “village of the future” concept. The comfort of life in agricultural towns, the head of state emphasized, should be equal to that in cities.
Speaking about the development of the village during a visit to the agricultural town of Vishov, the President instructed the Chairman of the State Control Committee Vasily Gerasimov: “We need to look at the topic of robbery of the heads of agricultural enterprises on land.”
“I am absolutely convinced (I have serious suspicions) that they both built in their time and are building these new streets in the field. But this must be an allotment of land. And this is only with the consent of the President. I doubt that I agreed everywhere. We need to take a serious look, conduct an audit of the use of land. A street with 20 houses has died out: people have left. We are moving onto new plots, starting to build houses. Let's build a house on these plots or give it to a person, let him build it, and we will restore and revive this street. Let her live. Why go into the field. These are wild expenses. We need to study this topic,” the President emphasized.
About road repairs, unnecessary red tape and bureaucratic obstaclesIn the agricultural town of Vishov, Alexander Lukashenko first got acquainted with a pilot project to repair the road network in promising rural settlements, including the use of cement. During the implementation of the project, work was carried out using several methods: in some places concrete was poured onto destroyed asphalt, in others the worn-out road surface was recycled and cement was added to it. Large format concrete tiles were being laid on some streets.
“If Vishov is lucky, then we still have one and a half thousand agricultural towns, where we need to create at least central, main streets. We need to approach it wisely. In order to detain people in the village, they need to create conditions,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
As the Minister of Housing and Communal Services Gennady Trubilo reported, in total there are more than 76.3 thousand streets in the populated areas of Belarus with a road surface area of 288.2 million square meters. Most have asphalt surface. The next most popular coating is concrete. There are still streets with sand, gravel and dirt surfaces.
When developing settlements and building new streets or houses there, the head of state demands that bureaucratic obstacles be avoided. “There is no need to red tape, we need to do it faster,” the President emphasized. “Therefore, we need to finish this work and get away from these bureaucratic principles. We must do it like a businessman and always remember that we can demolish a street, demolish houses, make an avenue, but That's a lot of money."
“It’s like in private houses. A private owner wants to build a house, and we come at him with different standards. If he wants to build, let him build. He’s building for himself,” noted Alexander Lukashenko.
The head of state drew attention to the fact that if the owner of a house needs to turn to designers or the Ministry of Emergency Situations , he will turn to him himself, why should he be constrained by formal requirements.
About quality and quality againAs Minister of Housing and Communal Services Gennady Trubilo reported to the President, plans to repair the country's road network are not only being fulfilled, but are being exceeded.
“It’s good that you overfulfilled, but remember: you will be responsible for the quality. You can’t do it poorly, because it’s very expensive. This is not for us. Therefore, square meters are good, but quality is the most important issue. We need to declare next year the Year of Quality. That’s it.” We are doing well: we produce volumes, and the demand for Belarus is colossal (we do not have time to meet Russia’s demand), but we still have problems with quality. Therefore, quality and once again quality. And we must be responsible for this," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
The head of state said that he recently received a complaint about MTZ products. The President instructed the KGC to look into this issue.
“Get ready for the fact that next year is the Year of Quality. The Year of Quality on land, in industry, in agriculture, in services and roads,” the President said.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that the state is trying hard to maintain the quality of roads, but citizens themselves must contribute to this.
“You can’t do things poorly. Quality and once again quality,” summed up the Belarusian leader.
About ideal dairy complexesPreviously, Alexander Lukashenko instructed to transfer the dairy herd within the five-year period. But what should these farms be like? While visiting various agricultural enterprises, the head of state got acquainted with their experience in order to choose the optimal project and expand it throughout the country. For example, in July the President visited the Yubileiny agricultural plant in the Orsha district. Two years ago, a robotic dairy complex was built here. The total cost of the four start-up complexes was Br71.5 million. At the same time, dairy complexes are being built in the Minsk region for Br5-6 million. Of course, it is necessary to compare the size of the complexes, the volume of work and the cost of equipment. Perhaps this difference is justified. But even if so, the President emphasizes: cows must be kept in strong and neat buildings; they do not need palaces.
In the Belynichi region, Alexander Lukashenko visited the Lyamnitsa dairy complex of the agricultural production complex Rodina Collective Farm. Having familiarized himself with the organization of MILK production and raising heifers in the livestock building, the head of state was pleased with what he saw.
What is the secret of this livestock building? They built it on the farm on their own. It looks simple, but at the same time reliable: concrete floors, metal structures, wooden walls and slate roof. The construction, including materials, cost Br185 thousand. The facility was erected in three months.
Alexander Lukashenko during a visit to the dairy complex "Lyamnitsa" of the agricultural production complex "Collective farm "Rodina" of the Belynichi district“Kopeks. Well done! We all say: yes, yes, yes. But few people do it. We live in the forest - I don’t want to take it, especially after a windfall. This is the best place for livestock,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
As Oleg Lapotentov, chairman of the agricultural cooperative, reported, the agricultural cooperative invested Br2.7 million in the reconstruction of the entire dairy complex, including about Br1.15 million in the reconstruction of three buildings and the construction of a milking and milk unit.
“Here. There is no need to invent anything. We need to build this in the name of the revolution,” said Alexander Lukashenko. “This is what we need today in order to take the cattle out of the barns into such premises. Rolling them into reinforced concrete is a colossal expense.”
On the development of the fish farming industryDuring the working trip, the President also visited the Vishov breeding site of the Lokhva trout farm. The head of state is already familiar with this farm: the President visited it in 2019 while on a working trip to the Kostyukovichi district. Alexander Lukashenko instructed to update the program for the development of fisheries activities. “Why are we delaying, why are we afraid? The technologies are excellent, there are markets. We need to update this program and make concrete proposals to me - where we will build and what. And at least we need to double fish production, not only in the Mogilev region,” he emphasized.
Visiting the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation last fall, the head of state instructed the governors to think through new steps in the development of fish farming, taking into account the availability of modern feed.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that we are also talking about valuable fish species. For example, one of the country’s farms has already mastered the production of black caviar, which wins in blind tastings in terms of taste and receives high marks from specialists.
“If we can do this and there is good profitability, margins, well, let’s build more,” the President said during a visit to BNBK. “Sit down and think about what we can produce here (in Belarus. - BELTA), what kind of fish. There is food."
By the way, the state program "Agricultural Business" for 2021-2025 provides for an almost doubling of production volumes of valuable fish species - salmon and sturgeon - throughout the country.
The same plans are in the Mogilev region. At the Vishov site of the Lokhva trout farm, the President was informed about the prospects for the development of the fish farming industry in the region and the measures being taken to increase the production of valuable fish species. Then the head of state got acquainted with the technology of growing fish.
“Imports of fish and fish products for 2022 amounted to 164 thousand tons. In money terms, this is $500 million. Of this, imports of fresh and chilled trout amounted to 9.4 thousand tons,” reported the governor of the Mogilev region Anatoly Isachenko.
Alexander Lukashenko during a visit to the Vishov breeding site of the Lokhva trout farm in Belynichi district“500 million imports is a good market,” the President noted.
The head of state recalled that in 2019, the DIRECTOR of Lokhva, Yuri Kuksenkov, promised to “fill” Belarus with valuable fish. True, I haven’t failed yet, but the prospects are very optimistic. As Alexander Lukashenko was informed, it is planned to create a complex for the production of valuable fish in the Krasnopolsky district near the Paluzh River. The production capacity will be 1 thousand tons of trout per year. The preliminary cost of the project is about Br40 million.
Another fish-breeding complex for the production of fertilized rainbow trout eggs will appear in Cherikov. Its construction will cost almost Br35 million. The design capacity is 25 million eggs per year.
Currently, Belarus' need for fertilized eggs is 4 million. While it is being imported. With the commissioning of new complexes, the annual demand will increase 8 times - to 32.5 million units. Therefore, the construction of a trout nursery in the future is also being discussed.
The Mogilev Regional Executive Committee wants to allocate money for the construction of fish hatchery complexes from its innovation fund. First of all, we are talking about the production of fertilized eggs.
“Okay, we will support this. Even if there is a shortage, we will lend some money. But we need to build it immediately,” said Alexander Lukashenko. “Let’s implement these two projects.”
How to maintain peace in BelarusResidents of Vishov, noticing that the head of state had come to their agricultural town, gathered on the street not far from the presidential motorcade.
“We are glad that you came to us. Thank you that there is peace here, that we receive our pensions on time, we live in such beauty!” - one of the residents turned to Alexander Lukashenko.
“You see, 25-30 years ago everyone was shouting: divide the collective farms, give state farms to the farmers. The second uproar was: why are you helping these collective farms, state farms, are you burying money. Why am I helping: because it’s on his shoulders (farm manager. - Approx. . BELTA) falls not only on business (procured in the field, produced on the farm, sold), but streets, villages, pensioners. All this is on his shoulders. Plus the chairman of the village council. That’s why I help collective farms, state farms, because they look after pensioners, schools, kindergartens, etc. This is not the farmer’s work, this is the state’s. That’s why I didn’t move away from this, let it be,” the President said.
Alexander Lukashenko during a conversation with residents of the agricultural town of Vishov, Belynichi district.“Those who destroyed are fighting today. And the land is not even their farmers’, but an uncle’s from overseas. And we had it. We had to take it away in the name of the revolution. This is so that there can be peace,” Alexander emphasized Lukashenko.
On support for children from large families and military personnelOne of the residents of the agricultural town, mother of many children, Elena Kalakustova, thanked the President for supporting large families.
