The South Ural Interregional Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor lost the case against the Uralsky Les company in Ufa. The supervisory authority demanded to recover 225 thousand rubles from the company. for soil contamination at a production site in the Nizhegorodka microdistrict.

In September 2021, the Arbitration COURT of Bashkiria satisfied the claim of the Rosprirodnadzor department. In November, the 18th Arbitration Court of Appeal in Chelyabinsk overturned this decision. On March 24, 2022, the cassation instance - the Arbitration Court of the Ural District in Yekaterinburg - upheld the ruling of the appeal.

As follows from the case file, in January 2021, Rosprirodnadzor inspectors checked the production site of the Ufa plywood plant at 5 Rizhskaya Street. They found that company employees had stored plywood waste in the water protection zone of the Belaya River. The waste was placed on an area of 500 sq. m.

The supervisory authority sent a request to Uralsky Les LLC to compensate the amount of damage in the amount of 225 thousand rubles, but was refused. Then the administration went to court. The company indicated that finished products were stored on the territory of the enterprise, which were rescued from a fire in January 2021.

“The defendant points out that the affected finished product, temporarily placed as a result of the fire, was taken out by him and used for processing, and the water protection zone was cleared without causing any harm to the environment, since the product was raked with snow, and on the soil from the finished nothing got to the products, ”the definition says.
