July 29, Grodno. The modernized production of polymeric regranulates was opened in Grodno, BelTA has learned.
"The technological process is the most modern in terms of waste processing not only in Belarus, but also among the CIS countries. Waste is sorted not by people, but by sorting machines. Using optical scanners, they separate waste by type, polymer and pollution. The technology provides for further washing and granulation , where the polymer melt occurs through micron filters. This allows you to make the material as close as possible to the primary types of plastic," said Alexander Chekel, DIRECTOR of Belvtorpolymer OJSC.The end product of production is a high-quality secondary granule of composite polyethylene. it is a finished product and can be used in the production of sand-polymer products, roofing materials, etc. The product will also be used by the enterprise in the manufacture of plastic products.
According to Dmitry Matusevich, chairman of the State Property Committee, the Belresursy holding, which is part of the State Property Committee, is implementing a number of investment projects. "This production is unique in the country. Films will be sorted here. After all, for example, a bottle of MILK is made of one type of plastic, a rim and a cap are made of another, and a label is made of a third. Here everything will be sorted automatically, respectively, after that be sent for recycling. In addition to creating new jobs, we will also get a direct import-substituting effect," Dmitry Matusevich said.
Dmitry MatusevichHe added that the implementation of the project has an indirect effect due to sanctions restrictions. "Employees were obliged to improve their skills and make the final adjustment of this equipment on their own, which seriously increased their competence. Thus, a synergistic effect was obtained. The enterprise is aimed at ensuring a circular economy in difficult conditions. Waste that was previously buried in landfills will now be included in the economic cycle," Dmitry Matusevich stressed.
The launch of the modernized production of polymeric regranulates by almost 70% will increase the processing capacity of polymers up to 5 thousand per year. As noted, 50% of the obtained regranulates will be exported abroad. With the commissioning of a new line, 12 jobs were created at the Belvtorpolymer enterprise. Estimated payback of the project is about 8 years. However, based on the quality of the resulting product, the company expects to reduce the period to 5 years.
