Samples for the study were selected by inspectors of the Primorsky interregional department of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR as part of a state assignment at a temporary storage warehouse in the Vladivostok sea fishing port.

The presence of bacteria of the genus Salmonella in products is a violation of the requirements of the technical regulations “On the safety of food products” and “On the safety of poultry MEAT and its processed products.”

Salmonella is well preserved in meat and is able to actively multiply in it. Thesebacteria persist even in frozen products. Only thorough heat treatment has a detrimental effect on salmonella .

Such detections indicate a violation of the rules and technological regimes of production, timing and temperature conditions of storage, transportation and sale of products, as well as non-compliance with the necessary sanitary standards at the manufacturing enterprise.

After receiving the research results, information about the detections was entered into the Vesta automated system (AS) in the field of veterinary medicine. Further information was sent by urgent reports to the Central Office and territorial departments of Rosselkhoznadzor, veterinary departments of the constituent entities of RUSSIA and other departments.

The Primorsky interregional department of Rosselkhoznadzor is preparing an information letter with the results of laboratory tests to the owner of the product.
