The Ministry of Education of Bashkiria commented on the information that appeared on the network that a number of schools in the region began to collect parental consent to vaccinate teenagers against CORONAVIRUS. The ministry explained that educational institutions are monitoring to determine the number of those wishing to be vaccinated against covid-19 , and the collection of consents for vaccination is not conducted.
“At the moment, at the request of the Ministry of HEALTH of the Republic, monitoring is being carried out on the number of students who want to be vaccinated against coronavirus infection (if there is a written application from one of the parents or other legal representative). But we repeat, exclusively on a voluntary basis," Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Belarus Alfiya Galiyeva commented to RBC Ufa.
On the eve of January 14, parents of students from several educational institutions announced that a message appeared in school chats about the collection of information on voluntary vaccination and a request to give consent to it by January 18.
As RBC Ufa reported, a children's vaccine against the COVID-19 coronavirus called Sputnik M was registered by the Russian Ministry of Health on November 24. The drug consists of two components. Children will be vaccinated from the age of 12. At the same time, vaccination for children aged 12 to 15 years will be carried out only with the consent of the parents, and for those over 15 years old - with the written consent of the teenager himself.
So far, there is no vaccine for children in Bashkiria, although it was previously announced that the drug should arrive in the region after December 20. On January 13, DIRECTOR of the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg said that the vaccine for teenagers will go into civilian circulation next week.
