Leningrad region to increase egg production to 4 billion per year by 2025

At a meeting on the development of the agricultural industry of the Leningrad region, they reported on plans to modernize the production of chicken eggs.

According to Oleg Malashchenko, HEAD of the committee for agro-industrial and fisheries, poultry farms are showing good results and intend to increase egg production in the future, even despite the difficult economic situation.

The authorities expect that by 2025 the volume of production will be 4 billion units per year, which will further strengthen the leading position of the Leningrad region in this area.
