Kabardino-Balkaria is in the top 5 regions of Russia for the application of mineral fertilizers

At the end of 2021, Kabardino-Balkaria became the leader among the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District and entered the top 5 regions of the country in terms of the amount of mineral fertilizers applied to the soil.
According to the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Agrochemical Service “Kabardino-Balkarskaya”, last year
157 kg of mineral fertilizers in the active substance were applied per hectare of arable land in the republic.
Mineral fertilizers are an important part of care for obtaining stable high yields of agricultural crops and maintaining soil fertility.
This year, the need for mineral fertilizers for seasonal field work is 46.9 thousand tons in active ingredients, or 109% of the need for 2021, including about 67 thousand tons in physical weight for spring field work, which is also exceeds last year's demand.
“The government of Kabardino-Balkaria has approved a list of regional distributors supplying fertilizers to the region, the list includes 8 companies. The delivery of fertilizers is carried out according to the schedule in the regular mode. To date, 25.5 thousand tons of fertilizers have been delivered to the republic, which is 38% of the approved plan for spring field work. it can be noted that these are good rates. High-quality seeds, irrigation of farmland, application of the required amount of mineral fertilizers, high technical equipment of the industry, qualified labor resources - thanks to all these factors, the farmers of Kabardino-Balkaria receive high yields of basic crops.
