In 2022, the regional authorities reported the allocation of preferential loans in the amount of 3.2 billion rubles.

Agro-industrial enterprises in the region can take out a preferential loan at a rate of 1-5%. A preferential short-term loan is issued for a period of up to one year, an investment loan is issued for a period of 2 to 15 years. At the same time, the state reimburses banks for the difference between preferential and market rates.

Due to the increase in the key rate to 15% per annum and work to update the need for subsidies for previously accepted obligations, the acceptance of registers of potential borrowers was suspended from October 30 and resumed on November 17. During the first week of resuming the acceptance of registers, the relevant department of the region, together with authorized banks, sent applications for 790 million rubles to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The Vologda region is among the top 30 regions of RUSSIA in terms of agricultural production volumes, the main direction being livestock farming. Farmers fully meet the region's needs for MILK and dairy products, eggs and potatoes. Milk production exceeds the capacity of the regional market by 1.6 times; dairy products are supplied to 60 regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.
