More than 200 agricultural enterprises and small businesses, ten rural municipal districts presented at the regional exhibition-fair "AGRO-2022" all the flavors of modern food production - from fresh vegetables and berries of the new crop to jamon and ice cream.
Exhibitors and guests were greeted by the HEAD of the Chelyabinsk region Alexei Teksler.
“Agriculture in our region is developing, despite the recent dry years, we are moving forward. This year we expect to harvest about 2 million tons of grain, and I am sure we will retain leadership in those industries where we are traditionally strong: in the production of poultry and pork MEAT, eggs, pasta, cereals, sunflower oil. I want to thank the villagers for their hard work, striving to be the best, thanks to you we ensure the food security of the region and the country,” he stressed.
The Governor examined the expositions of the exhibition, the products of agricultural holdings and farms.
“We have 200 companies participating in the exhibition this year, which is significantly more than last year. The government of the region provides support to agriculture, including direct subsidies. This year the unified agricultural tax was cancelled. Last year, when there was a severe drought, we supported our farmers with feed subsidies and kept the livestock. The exhibition clearly demonstrates the success of manufacturers, the result of their work,” said Alexey Teksler.
Traditionally, the highlight of the exposition is the exhibition of breeding farm animals. This year it was possible to see newcomers on it. The farm of Marina Venevtseva is the only one in the region where a new beef breed of cattle is bred for the Southern Urals - the Aberdeen Angus.
“We have been working with genetics for three years,” says Anna Klochkova, deputy head of the farm. – This year we have submitted documents for obtaining the status of a breeding plant, we are planning to breed this breed. Aberdeen Angus are born very small - 15-16 kg, but upon reaching weaning at 210 days they are already quite strong. We have the same age Herefords and Aberdeens, but when they enter the scales, the Aberdeens are heavier, as a rule, by 40-50 kg. We bought cattle in Voronezh. Cow Teresa, which we brought to Chelyabinsk, was already born with us and has already brought offspring.”
Interesting and tasty novelties were presented at the exhibition by Magnitogorsk citizens. Pavel Zhuravsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sitno, presented to the Governor a number of product innovations that can already be found on store shelves today. Among them is the Pavlovsky iodized loaf, made on the new automated line of the Magnitogorsk bakery, acquired with the help of state support measures. As well as thermostatic yogurt, which is prepared by gentle fermentation. Today, SITNO is the only company in the Chelyabinsk region that uses this method, which allows better preservation of useful substances.
A participant of the first and second national competitions “Tastes of Russia”, Evgeny Chepurin from Magnitogorsk, who launched the production of RusHamon meat delicacies, presented a new line of canned food in durable and convenient lightweight packaging.
“This package came to us from astronautics, its weight is only 8 grams, and inside there are only natural ingredients. Only sterilization is used for preservation. Innovative porridges with meat are in great demand and are already included in the “100 Best Goods of RUSSIA,” says Evgeny.
Jamon remains the main position of a small business.
“We make our Russian dry-cured ham. Russiaused to be one of the main suppliers of dry-cured hams to Europe. We buy our raw materials from domestic producers, we choose a certain salinity. The ham hangs in special climatic chambers from six months to one and a half years or more, gaining flavor. Now we sell, including via the Internet, throughout Russia. We would very much like to grow in production and sales, so we are looking for growth points, investors,” Chepurin said.
Several small businesses presented craft cheeses at the exhibition. CHEESE FACTORY "Erin Syr" for the first time became a member of "Agro", exhibiting its products at the stand of the Bredinsky district. The construction of a cheese dairy in the village of Bredy began in 2020, and today it already produces 28 types of dairy products - from natural MILK to young and aged cheeses. The cheese factory is distinguished by the presence of a full production cycle - from growing feed and milk production on its own farm to finished products. To have raw milk, cheese makers - spouses Denis and Tatiana Erina - purchased cows of dairy breeds: Ayrshire, Holtstein, Jersey. At first, cheeses and dairy products were promoted through online sales, they organized the delivery of cheeses to Chelyabinsk and Bredy (the district center). In April, cheese makers opened a brand shop in Bredy, "behind the glass" of which one can observe cheese production. In September, the opening of a company store is planned in Chelyabinsk. Specialty cheeses are Arkaim Gold, Caciocavallo and the hit of the season is Manchego cheese.
An abundance of meat and dairy products was presented by farmers, whose products are already well known to many South Ural residents. The Burenka agricultural production cooperative has been operating since 2009, it was created on the basis of a family farm, the founders of which are the spouses Dina Muratova and Sergey Tamarov. Today it unites 400 owners of personal subsidiary plots. The collection and sale of milk in the cooperative is the most important area of work. In 2021, 2,090 tons of milk were delivered to the Chebarkul Dairy Plant. This allows the villagers - members of the cooperative - to receive additional income from the sale of products. Since 2015, farmers have opened the direction of processing meat and dairy products. The main principle is only natural ingredients. Dumplings "Three heroes", meatballs, gingerbread, pastries - everything your heart desires! To be tasty and high quality, built a pig farm for 525 heads of annual content, with automation from animal feeding to manure removal. After the launch of the mini-cheese factory, a farm was built for 45 dairy cows, plus the same number of young animals for fattening. This year it is planned to launch a new farm for 70 heads, and the acquisition of young animals is underway.
The taste of farm cheeses is perfectly emphasized by the honey of the Ural beekeepers. And they don't stand still either. So, the apiary of Sergey Tarasov from the Kunashaksky district wintered this year in the Krasnodar Territory to bring white acacia honey to AGRO, and then lingered in Samara, where the bees collected wild sweet clover nectar, then in the mountainous regions of Bashkiria, where linden blossomed. The very first honey - acacia - does not crystallize for a long time and has healing properties. The bees collected nectar from forbs from farmers in their home apiary, but the buckwheat farmers have not yet “pumped”, so you can wait with its purchase.
Producers of "cold treats" have not lagged behind beekeepers. Irina Tyurina, an entrepreneur from Chelyabinsk, presented her signature sorbet and creamy ice cream with a variety of flavors.
“Very nice, many come up and say they know and love our ice cream, even though we only have one retail outlet. But we sell according to requests to stores, we offer everyone an individual line. We have craft ice cream according to Italian technologies, and our milk is Sanarskoye. The production was opened 6 years ago, and today we produce about 3 tons of products per day. Recipes using only natural ingredients. And the assortment includes more than 80 flavors and types, including, for example, ice cream with sea buckthorn, cheese ice cream (blue cheese), ice cream without SUGAR and vegetable milk for diabetics,” Irina said.
Chelyabinsk ice cream is also known in Yekaterinburg, where it is sold in the Zhiznmart chain of stores. This year, Irina's ice cream won the competition "20 best goods of the Chelyabinsk region".
In order for farmers to have the opportunity to get on the shelf of retail chains, representatives of Auchan, Magnit and Lenta worked for Agro. Representatives of "Auchan", for example, went around each participant to get acquainted with the assortment, directly learn about the volume of production. Buying sessions of retailers also aroused interest. At AGRO-2022, all products of the new crop - young vegetables and potatoes - could be purchased at producer prices.
