Plans for its creation are included in the draft strategy for the development of organic production in RUSSIA until 2030, which was presented by Deputy HEAD of Roskachestvo Elena Saratseva at a meeting with Andrei Knorr, Deputy Governor of the Tomsk Region for Agro-Industrial Policy and Environmental Management, and Tomsk organic producers.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Roskachestvo, the developers of this document, propose the Tomsk Region for the role of a leading organic cluster.
Officially, the concept of "organic production" in Russia appeared in 2018. Tomsk region, according to experts, is one of the leaders in organic agriculture, which does not use pesticides, agrochemicals, antibiotics, growth hormones, etc.
The draft strategy for the development of the Russian organic industry involves four areas of implementation: removing administrative barriers, stimulating demand, developing exports and creating industry associations - hubs and clusters. Until mid-May, Tomsk enterprises with extensive experience in the production and promotion of organics will send their proposals to the document.
“We need to look for new types and formats of support for exporters, taking into account the trend towards Asian markets that is emerging today,” said Vice Governor Andrey Knorr. - An equally important point, which has not yet been reflected in the strategy, is training in the creation and management of organic production, which has its own characteristics. We also need to develop a culture of organic consumption within the country; in our country, for example, this can be done effectively through the student community.”
