The park of ground agricultural machinery intended for carrying out treatments with chemical and biological means of protection has more than 3 thousand units.
In the Rostov region, the entire range of seasonal field work continues. The regime of temporary restriction of flights in the south of the country will not have a critical impact on the conduct of agricultural work, the Don Ministry of Agriculture and Food noted.
“In addition to the sowing company, the farmers of the region are faced with the task of preserving agricultural crops from pests, diseases and weeds. - said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dmitry Repka. - Every year, the region treats land with chemical and biological plant protection products on an area of about 3.2 million hectares, mainly by land. The fleet of ground agricultural machinery intended for these works includes more than 3,000 units, of which more than 670 are self-propelled, and is updated annually.”
According to the data of the Don agrarian department, in the Rostov region, out of 4,750,000 hectares of sown area, 4% was processed by an aerial chemical method.
"To ensure the implementation of production work in crop production
there are aircraft in the region that meet the requirements for flights in the current situation. That is, AN-2 aircraft and MI-2 helicopters are allowed to carry out aerial processing of fields without additional requirements,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
