Ukrainian poultry farms reduced egg production by 23%

The volume of egg production in Ukraine in the first half of 2021 amounted to 7.38 billion eggs, which is 13.6% lower than the same period last year (7.54 billion eggs).

This is reported by the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine with reference to the data of the State Statistics Service. 
 
In particular, the production of eggs in the reporting period on the basis of specialized agricultural enterprises of Ukraine decreased by 23.1% to 3.55 billion eggs. against 4.6 billion pieces. in January-June 2020.
 
At the same time, households reduced egg production by 2.5% to 3.83 billion eggs. (January-June 2020 - 3.93 billion units).
 
The TOP-5 regions for the production of eggs for the reporting period included:

* Kiev region - 1651.8 million eggs. (January-June 2020 - 1707.3 million units);
* Cherkasy region - 421.8 million units (399.3 million units);
* Vinnitsa region - 383.1 million units (475.3 million units);
* Zhytomyr region - 374.9 million units (376.5 million units);
* Kherson region - 369 million units (474.3 million units).
