TROO "Ecological Protection" visited CJSC "Krasnobor". Ecologists got acquainted with the already implemented environmental measures, as well as with the company's plans to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
On March 29, representatives of the TROOO "Ecological Protection" met with the specialists of CJSC "Krasnobor" within the framework of the order of the Governor of the Tula Region and the program of events "Public Environmental Control". The event was attended by the chairman of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Tula region on ecology and environmental protection, the chairman of the Ecological Protection TROO Vadim Baranov, employees of the organization, a member of the scientific and expert Council of the Public Chamber of the region Gennady Pavpertov and the chief engineer of the poultry farm Alexander Morozov.
The main purpose of the visit to CJSC Krasnobor was to discuss issues related to the measures implemented by the poultry farm to reduce the negative impact on the environment. Of course, the current topic was also touched upon - complaints from residents of Novomoskovsk and Donskoy about the smell of burnt manure and biological waste, which is periodically present in the air.
Last summer, environmentalists recorded the fact of a fire and a long decay process of an old manure storage, the territory of which belongs to CJSC Krasnobor. The company has implemented a number of fairly effective measures to extinguish it. The fires were actively spilled with water and sprinkled with soil. According to Alexander Morozov, measures are also planned this year to prevent re-ignition.
In addition, by the end of June 2023, 30,000 tons of turkey bedding waste, which is also a source of odor, will be removed from the territory of the enterprise and used as fertilizer for the agricultural needs of the crop sector of Cherkizovo-Plants. (In December 2021 CJSC Krasnobor became part of the PJSC Cherkizovo holding).
Another topical issue was the renewed activity of the workshop for the disposal of bedding waste from growing turkeys. This site was closed in April last year for work on the modernization of treatment equipment, which was largely dictated by complaints from the population about unpleasant odors. In November 2021, after the installation of a scrubber (a device used to clean solid or gaseous media from impurities), the workshop was restarted. For five months, the production of organic fertilizer by drying bedding waste was carried out. At the same time, work was underway to measure the concentrations of harmful substances and select reagents for the solution used in the plant in order to most effectively clean gas-air emissions and comply with environmental standards. However, last week, due to
In addition, representatives of the "Ecological Protection" visited the biological treatment facilities for industrial effluents of the enterprise, noting modern equipment and a high level of treatment technology. Also, at the request of environmentalists, a workshop for the disposal of slaughterhouse waste was inspected, where, using high-pressure steam, waste from slaughter and death of poultry is processed into MEAT and bone meal and fat. Production technologies in this workshop have a closed cycle.
“Today we were able to build a completely constructive dialogue with representatives of CJSC Krasnobor. We discussed the most pressing issues and problems, and also conveyed to the management of the poultry farm our position on the need for environmental responsibility, as well as the importance of finding a balance of interests between environmental requirements and the economic development of the enterprise. We believe that despite the difficult situation, it is important to continue to introduce the best available technologies to improve the environmental situation,” said Vadim Baranov.
