In the first two months of the year, there was a 2% increase in production compared to the same period in 2021.

Mexico increased pork production in the first two months of the year, according to official data released by the Ministry of Agriculture. In January and February this year, production increased by 5,000 tons (+2%), in line with the results observed in 2021.  

Mexico currently ranks 13th in the world in pork production and exports to Japan, the United States , Singapore, CANADA, SOUTH KOREA, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Chile and CHINA . Last year, pork exports exceeded 250,000 tons.
