Novopolotsk resident kills drinking buddy for refusing to go get alcohol

October 17,Vitebsk . A resident of Novopolotsk killed his drinking buddy because he refused to go get more ALCOHOL. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the information and public relations department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Internal Affairs Directorate.

The deceased 50-year-old unemployed man was discovered by a neighbor in his own apartment. There were signs of multiple bodily injuries on the Novopolotsk resident's body.

Criminal investigation officers quickly identified the suspect and his whereabouts. The suspect was a previously convicted and unemployed 42-year-old city resident. On the eve of the brutal murder, he had been drinking alcohol with the victim , and when the drinks ran out, he asked his friend to go get more. Having received a refusal, the guest began to kick and punch his drinking buddy, after which he disappeared. The victim died on the spot from the blows he received.

Criminal police officers, with the forceful support of the riot police, detained the suspect when he was visiting his relatives. Investigators opened a criminal case on the fact of murder.
