The government of the Orenburg region approved the procedure for granting subsidies for the development of vegetable growing. According to the document, the costs incurred and paid in the current financial year for the production of greenhouse vegetables are subject to reimbursement.
Costs will be reimbursed at the rate per 1 ton of sold products produced using supplementary lighting technology, including for the purchase of: electrical energy consumed for supplementary illumination of vegetable crops, vegetable seeds, agrochemicals and pesticides, a substrate for growing vegetables.
One of the enterprises that will be able to take advantage of this subsidy is the Kushkulskiye Teplitsy eco-farm, which supplies Orenburg residents with fresh vegetables all year round: cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs.
The company occupies a leading position in the region. Every year, about 5 thousand tons of cucumber alone are grown in the Kushkul greenhouses - and there is potential for development.
"Eco-farm" - we try to match this name with our product. For this we use only high-quality raw materials and seeds, good water. We work according to the biomethod, that is, we do not use chemistry at all. We feed the plants during the growing season and fruiting - when they need support the most, ”says Konstantin Schneider.
To combat pests in the Kushkul greenhouses, ethnomophages are used - predatory insects that protect plants from pests better than pesticides. Bumblebees are used to pollinate tomatoes.
Since greenhouses produce the product year-round, plants do not have enough heat and light in winter. Therefore, the eco-farm actively uses the method of supplementary lighting and uses a heating system that has five climatic zones. What kind of climate is needed in a greenhouse in a given period, determines its own weather station. According to the HEAD, highly qualified specialists work there, who have undergone a long course of study.
Another highlight of the Kushkul Greenhouses is the double screening system, which not every greenhouse farm can boast of. This system is also called shielding, as it protects the greenhouse from all sides like a shield. With the help of curtains, you can adjust the light, temperature, humidity and significantly save heat.
According to Konstantin Schneider, the eco-farm can produce even more vegetables that Orenburg needs so much. But this requires a lot of money. Therefore, state support today is most welcome.
