Servicemen from the Russian base in South Ossetia, including residents of the partially recognized republic, were sent to the special operation zone in Ukraine, RBC was told in the press service of South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov.

Bibilov posted a video on his TELEGRAM channel showing a convoy of trucks and buses with South Ossetian flags.

“Our guys are going to fulfill their military duty with a banner proudly raised. I talked with them, felt their high fighting spirit. They just burn - Alanian blood makes itself felt. They are well aware that they are going to defend RUSSIA, they are going to defend Ossetia as well,” the President of South Ossetia commented on the footage.

In his press service, RBC clarified that we are talking about sending military personnel from the fourth Russian base stationed in the republic to Ukraine.
