Hundreds of accidents due to bad roads in the Novosibirsk region

In the Novosibirsk region, with deficiencies in the operational condition of roads, 867 accidents were registered in 2021, which is 23% less than in 2020. This was reported to RBC Novosibirsk in the regional traffic police.

In total, in 2021, the most common cause of car accidents in the Novosibirsk Region was non-compliance with the order of intersections. There were 275 such accidents, which is almost 20% less than in 2020. RBC Novosibirsk was told about this in the regional traffic police.

Also, serious accidents were caused by: driving into the oncoming lane (237 cases), violations of the rules for passing a pedestrian crossing (187 cases) and violations of the requirements of traffic lights (56 cases). it is noted that the number of these violations has decreased compared to 2020, except for driving into the oncoming lane (+ 7.7% by 2020).
