The staff of machine operators in the Turkovsky district of the Saratov region is fully equipped for spring field work

For the period of spring field work in 2024, 354 machine operators will be employed in the Turkovsky municipal district, which is 100% of the requirement.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Alexey Molchanov spoke about this during a conversation with agricultural producers during a visit to the Turkovsky MR.
The Deputy Minister clarified that in 2024, the sown area in the region will be 78.7 thousand hectares, of which 39.9 thousand hectares will be allocated for grain and leguminous crops, 37.3 thousand hectares for technical crops, including sunflowers – 30.0 thousand hectares, fodder crops – 1.1 thousand hectares, potatoes and melons and vegetables – 0.4 thousand hectares.
“This year in the Turkovsky district it is planned to produce 142.2 thousand tons of grains and leguminous crops, 60 thousand tons of sunflower oil seeds, 3.1 thousand tons of potatoes and 2.4 thousand tons of vegetable and melon crops,” said Alexey Molchanov .
To carry out seasonal field work, the district's farms have 466 tractors, 181 grain harvesters, 45 mowers, 19 rakes, 31 balers, 82 windrowers and other special equipment.
In general, in the region for field work in the region there are 18.6 thousand tractors, 6.2 thousand harrowing units, 7.9 thousand plows, 12.7 thousand seeders, 10.6 thousand cultivators, 6.6 thousand grain harvesters and other special equipment.
