Employees of the Oshmyany meat-packing plant (Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus), the Pochep zonal veterinary laboratory and the Bryansk Broiler company of Miratorg ABH received new knowledge and practical skills in monitoring the quality and safety of livestock products and MEAT processing.
Yulia Kobozeva, Chief Chemist of the Chemical-Toxicological Department of the Bryansk Testing Laboratory of ARRIAH, taught a group from Belarus the methods of meat and meat product examination. Under her guidance, the trainees prepared samples for physical and chemical studies, determined the exact content of fat, nitrite, protein in the samples proposed by him (according to the Kjeldahl method) and mastered modern analyzers.
Representatives of the Department of Serology and Leptospirosis organized a course for doctors from the Pochep Zonal Veterinary Laboratory on laboratory diagnosis of brucellosis and leptospirosis using serological methods and using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Employees of Bryansk Broiler LLC, at the request of the enterprise, studied methods for determining the quality indicators of grain and oilseeds and their derivatives in the feed manufacturing process chain.
