PIONERPRODUKT.by continues to publish videos from the AgroExpedition "Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan". In this video, we will see how the apricot processing cooperative works.
The company was founded in 2008, is engaged in organic production and processing of apricots and dried fruits. In 1996, local farmers organized a collective garden, which eventually developed into a production agricultural cooperative, the equipment for which was purchased through a grant.
Apricots of two local varieties are sold both fresh and dried. The total area of the garden is 125 hectares.
The geography of deliveries is quite wide, including to RUSSIA.
The cooperative operates under the “organic” certificate, so only biological products are used. Manure from local livestock is used as fertilizer.
Processing of dried apricots starts with a primary wash, called “whirlpool”, then the apricot fruits enter the secondary wash for rinsing with nozzles. On the conveyor belt, the fruits fall into a special compartment, where the third one takes place - a brush wash. Then comes the time of the fourth final - drum washing.
After such a multi-level washing, the fruits are dried with air using hair dryers on a special vibrating table, from where they fall on the calibration table. The fruits are divided into 4 fractions by size using special shafts.
In boxes, apricot fruits go to the sorting table, where substandard will be selected.
After sorting, the apricots go to the drying cabinet. Then they are packed, labeled and sent for EXPORT.
Currently, the cooperative is working to expand the range of products. The workshop has already purchased special cooking pots for jams and apricot preserves.
Next year, the enterprise will expand, new jobs will appear for the population of the nearby village. Also, the cooperative has a good potential in the development of agro-tourism, since the places here are very beautiful and the products are of high quality, which cannot but attract the attention of tourists, including from Europe.
