The yearbook was created by MGIMO, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the Agroexport Federal Center. According to the publication, in 2022 RUSSIA accounted for 2.1% of global agricultural exports. In 2017, this figure was 1.4%. As the HEAD of Agroexport, Dmitry Krasnov, said at the ceremony, one of the principles of the document is "focus on Russia's place in international trade in agricultural products."
The publication of the Yearbook "World food security and international trade in agro-industrial complex 2022/23" is a significant event for both the agricultural industry and for science and education. The report clearly demonstrates the key events and trends in the global food market, as well as the achievements already made and the potential of Russian exports. But most importantly, it makes market participants think about where to go next. It must be understood that the EXPORTis the end result of long work. Before sending products to foreign markets, companies take many steps. Among them - a deep study of target markets, the organization of the release of competitive products that meet both Russian and foreign requirements, the formation of a team of qualified specialists involved in the development of new products and able to communicate with foreign partners and customers. Why is this especially important now? The specifics of the Russian domestic market is such that it is actually saturated with supply. But that doesn't mean the industry has to stop. ExportToday it is one of the main drivers of further development. The domestic industry needs to dynamically respond to changes, look for new niches in foreign markets, switch to the export of value-added products, including branded and consumer-oriented ones. In such a situation, the publication of the Yearbook is extremely relevant, as it allows industry representatives to once again take a close look at our positions in world markets, analyze demand dynamics and find new opportunities and directions for themselves.
