The Baltic countries may oppose the easing of sanctions imposed on Russian food exports. Thierry Mariani, MEP from France, stated this during a conversation with Izvestia.

According to him, the countries of Western Europe are interested in coping with the global destruction of agricultural markets as quickly as possible.

“As in many issues, I think that the difficulty will lie in the need to make a decision by all 27 members of the European Union by consensus ... Poland or the Baltic states will definitely block such decisions,” the politician believes.

Recall that on July 22, a memorandum on the need to "remove various restrictions on the EXPORT of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers" was signed by representatives of RUSSIA, Turkey and the UN. But at the same time, the food of the Russian Federation still cannot freely enter the world market.

According to the source of the newspaper, the UN sent explanations to Western businesses on the export of Russian food under the sanctions. Now Moscow hopes that Western countries will create the conditions necessary for access to world markets for Russian fertilizers and food.

The anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the West have completely failed. This was stated by the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov.

According to him, the experience gained over the past six months speaks of the failure of Western sanctions. Ulyanov wrote about this in his TELEGRAM channel

“The main conclusion that we can and must draw from the experience gained in almost the last 6 months is that the anti-Russian sanctions have completely failed. This is a fact,” the permanent representative believes.

it should be noted that anti-Russian sanctions, contrary to their intentions, have recently been hitting the initiating countries themselves more and more.

For example, the Swiss authorities, for example, advised citizens to stock up on candles and firewood due to upcoming problems with electricity.

And the French MP Laurent Jacobelli proposed lifting restrictions on the Russian Federation in order to save his compatriots from the sad consequences.
