Winter crops are planned to be fed in the Saratov region on an area of ​​​​more than 450 thousand hectares

According to the information of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, by today, taking into account the volumes purchased last fall, the farms of the region have 111 tons of mineral fertilizers, or 122% compared to last year (2021 - 90.6 thousand tons). Of these, nitrogen - 74 thousand tons (56.8 thousand tons in 2021). Formation of the application for April comes to an end.
Winter crops are planned to be fed on an area of ​​more than 450,000 hectares; farmers are provided with fertilizers for the work in full.
Carrying out protective measures against a complex of pests, diseases and weeds is planned for 1.7 million hectares (41% of the sown area), including from especially dangerous ones - on an area of ​​14 thousand hectares.
To date, 533 tons of pesticides (56% of the need of 973 tons), including 34 tons of disinfectants or 50% of the need, have been contracted to carry out protective measures and seed dressing in the region.
“The supply of plant protection is proceeding as planned, distributors have 80% of the plan,” emphasizes Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region, Minister of Agriculture of the region.
