December 6, Vitebsk. For the first time, the Vitebsk city executive committee is organizing auctions for the sale of sites for rent for the placement of carousels with the organization of a photo zone for the New Year holidays, BelTA learned from the property department of the city executive committee's economy department.
The right to conclude lease agreements for three sections of the city territory on Victory Square is put up for auction, where the main city Christmas tree is installed and the main mass events are held for the New Year and Christmas holidays, festive trade and entertainment areas are organized. Taking into account the experience of the previous season, it was decided to determine the tenants of sites for the installation of roundabouts using a competitive procedure. The auction is set for December 13th.Each lot includes a 50 sq. m with an initial sale price of Br84.5. The lease agreement with the winners of the auction will be concluded for 3 years, while the attraction can be placed on the leased territory from December 15 to February 15. The monthly rent will be 20 basic rental units (1 BAS - Br16.9). Tenants must conclude an agreement that provides for obligations to comply with the requirements for ensuring the industrial safety of the attraction, the appearance of the facility, and the implementation of sanitary norms and rules.
The pre-New Year sale of rental rights for carousel sites is organized by analogy with the auctions for the sale of rental sites for New Year's trade on Pobedy Square, which were also held in 2022 for the first time. In total, plots have been leased for the placement of four trade pavilions, they must be made according to the sketch approved by the city executive committee. An assortment list of goods has been defined for sale in New Year's houses, which includes bakery and confectionery products, ready-made culinary products, groceries, soft drinks, ice cream, as well as souvenirs and toys.
According to the data for 9 months, the Vitebsk budget received more than Br365,000 from the sale of lease rights for city communal property.
