The Agroschool project was awarded the silver medal of the Golden Autumn-2021 exhibition
According to the results of the meeting of the competition commission of the Department for the Development of Rural Territories of the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA, the Ural State Agrarian University was awarded a silver medal.
The innovative educational project "Agroschool", which involves the creation of sectoral agricultural classes in all municipalities of the Sverdlovsk region, won a diploma and a medal of the XXIII Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2021" "For the introduction of innovative programs, design developments, digital technologies, in the field of agriculture, agroecology aimed at the formation of key competencies of professional self-determination of children and youth”.
it is worth noting that the Agroschool project was launched in the fall of 2019 with the support of the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex and the Consumer Market of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region. Today, more than 500 schoolchildren from Yekaterinburg, Revda, Asbest, Achit, Sysert, Novouralsk, Rezh, Bogdanovich, Verkhny Tagil, Severouralsk, Artemovsky, Alapaevsk, Artey, Sukhoi Log, as well as YNAO and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-UGRA study in branch classes.
The Agroschool project includes five educational programs designed for participants of different ages from grades 1 to 11: Veterinary Medicine, Bioengineering, City Farming, Engineering Technologies, Introduction to Agribusiness. Classes in laboratories, greenhouses and industry enterprises are conducted by both school teachers and teachers of the Ural State Agrarian University.
“Interest in the project among children and teachers is growing, and this is great. Over the past year, many partner schools of the project have their own experimental sites in the form of greenhouses. For its part, the university organizes not only visits of teachers to schools, but also exciting excursions and practical classes in its laboratories for children. For example, studying MILK or making ice cream. In addition, we attract agroclass students to participate in olympiads and conferences. All this allows the children to get acquainted with agricultural professions and help them in their professional self-determination,” said Olga Sergeevna Chechenikhina, DIRECTOR of the USAU Youth Professional Development Center.
In total, the competition "Organization and support of high-tech agricultural production and rational land use in agro-ecological associations of students of educational organizations in Russia" was attended by teams of educational organizations from 20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The competitive materials presented the innovative experience of the work of teams of children's and youth associations of agroecological and agricultural areas of educational organizations, organizations of additional education for children and partner organizations.
Recall that the XXIII Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2021" was held on October 5-8 at the site of the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center in the Moscow region.
The competition commission headed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation highly appreciated the work of the Ural State Agrarian University in the field of intellectualization of the agro-industrial complex, selection and seed production of crops, increasing the productivity of cattle and poultry, treating animals and much more. In total, following the results of the Golden Autumn exhibition, USAU representatives won 14 medals: 6 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze.
