Dmitry Patrushev discussed with the Acting Head of the Republic of Dagestan the potential for the development of the region's agro-industrial complex

Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev and Acting HEAD of the Republic of Dagestan Sergey Melikov during a working meeting discussed a wide range of issues related to the results of work and the potential for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region.

The minister noted the stable situation in the agro-industrial complex of Dagestan. In particular, this is evidenced by the index of agricultural production, which corresponds to the average Russian level.

Currently, the harvesting campaign in the region is in full swing, more than 250 thousand tons of grain have been harvested, which is more than on the same date last year. One of the key sectors of agriculture in the republic is animal husbandry. In 2020, the production of livestock, poultry and MILK increased. The minister expressed hope for a decent harvest and growth in animal husbandry in the current year. In addition, according to the results of 2020, as well as six months of 2021, an increase in the production of cereals, mineral water and sausages is observed in Dagestan.

Separately, Dmitry Patrushev and Sergey Melikov considered the issues of bringing state support funds to farmers, the implementation of the state program "Integrated Development of Rural Territories" and land reclamation measures.
