Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador explained the deterioration of his condition at a meeting in the state of Yucatan on April 23 with complications associated with infection with CORONAVIRUS, and denied rumors of heart problems. He spoke about this in a video posted on Twitter.

“My blood pressure was lowered, and while at the meeting evaluating [the Mayan Train project], I fell asleep. <...> The doctors arrived immediately and examined me, I did not lose consciousness, I had such a situation of transient fainting, ”said the president ( quoted by El Universal).

López Obrador said he is doing well now and continues to write speeches ahead of upcoming events. At the same time, the HEAD of state did not specify when he plans to resume official activities. Earlier, the head of the Mexican Interior Ministry, Adan Augusto Lopez Hernandez, suggested that the president would return to his duties "before the weekend."
