In Stavropol, they want to spend ₽37 million on the festival of film genres

The department of culture, art and youth policy of the Essentuki administration is looking for a contractor who will provide services for the preparation and holding of an open festival of popular film genres. This is stated in the materials of the public procurement website.

The initial price of the contract is 37.9 million rubles. The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the open competition is July 2, 2021.

According to information on the website of the Presidential Grants Fund, the open festival of popular film genres "Crystal Istochnik" has been held since 2018 with the support of the government of the Stavropol Territory, the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture of the region, and the FADN of RUSSIA. In connection with the covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the festival was held in a mini-format of screenings of "Cinema under the Caucasian sky", held as part of the celebration of the anniversary of the city of Essentuki. In 2021, the film festival is scheduled to be held from July 24 to 31.

“The complex of festival events is aimed at the spiritual and moral development of a person, the popularization and promotion of domestic cinema, the development of social ties, and the strengthening of the image of the CMS. Participants of the festival will come from different parts of Russia. Competitive film screenings, opening and closing ceremonies and most of the events are held in the city of Essentuki,” the description of the event says. 

The project of the III open festival of popular film genres "Crystal Istochnik" participated in the competition for presidential grants, but did not receive support, the foundation's website says.
