During a crisis, many organizations curtail non-core projects. While it seems that design is just such a business function, a survey by design studio maryco showed that brands are not ready to completely abandon it,

With the onset of the crisis, when a turbulent time came for many businesses, we, as a design studio, wondered what place design would take in the new conditions. The answer came by itself: old clients not only from RUSSIA, but also from abroad continued to cooperate with us. In addition, new projects are constantly emerging. Foreign customers have not changed their attitude towards us, it was only necessary to quickly solve problems with payment and documents. Over the past month and a half, the volume of work with international clients has been growing.

Based on our experience, Russian companies still have a request for all areas of design, including the creation of corporate identity and redesign. Now, again, as during a pandemic, the demand for services in the digital sphere is growing: they turn to us for the complex design of social networks, the development of advertising campaign concepts, and website design. The load on the team has increased dramatically, and now we are expanding it.

However, we decided to go beyond our experience and turned to other companies, not clients, to find out how they reallocate the budget and workload on design tasks.
