“This year's harvest (without corn, sorghum and rice) is at the level achieved a year earlier. The harvest was complicated by sharp weather fluctuations. However, the workers of the region, even in difficult conditions, managed to gather all their strength and complete the harvest with a worthy result. The work of the scientific community also played a significant role, specialists conducted constant and continuous monitoring of the state of crops. Domestic demand for bread will be met in full,” said Sergey Izmalkov, Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
Further, agricultural producers of the region will have to harvest tilled crops, in the region they will have to harvest sunflower on an area of 278 thousand hectares, corn for grain - 137 thousand hectares and SUGAR beet - 30.6 thousand hectares.
