Leonid Zayats, together with the leadership of the district and the region, visited the field of the Zarya agricultural complex, on the basis of which the practice of harvesting corn for grain with increased sown areas was presented and studied. So, the crop is harvested here not at positive temperatures, but with the first frosts - when the moisture content of the grain is significantly reduced and, accordingly, the cost of its refinement. Today, the diversified farm has about 1,000 tons of corn left to harvest in the Mogilev and Chausy districts. Subsequently, it will go to feed poultry and animals and will make up from 30% to 40% in their diet, so the issue of reducing the cost of grain for the farm is more relevant than ever.

“Today we are harvesting corn at such times when it is snowing, and this should be commented from the standpoint of the economy,” Leonid Zayats emphasized. “Corn tends to have the appropriate moisture content: 2 weeks ago it was 50%. We tried to thresh it and got 12 per hectare tons, however, there were very large losses: the cob did not thresh and a large amount of grain remained in it, the harvesters sank - the equipment did not go, it was towed. Therefore, it was decided to postpone the harvest and wait until the corn naturally reaches a moisture content of 30-32%, and "only then start threshing. What do we see today? Humidity is really 30%, the bunker weighs more than two weeks ago. Now we get almost 145-150 centners per hectare."

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, today the yield on the farm's corn field has reached 150 centners per hectare, i.е. with later harvesting from one hectare, 2-3 tons more weight is obtained here. The prime cost of raw corn is also important, which is $70 per ton in the joint-stock company, another $30 is used to refine this corn. The total is $100. "In the market, corn costs $200-250, about $150 - this is an economic effect on each ton of this farm," said Leonid Zayats. economy and the entire industry.

Zarya is a diversified farm: poultry, pig breeding, cattle, MILK . Today, the economic effect of the enterprise depends on the cost of feed. Using up to 40% of corn at a cost of $ 100 in poultry farming, the output will be products that will bring a lot of income. Savings at all stages of production will ultimately make it possible to put the product on the counter of the consumer at a more affordable and affordable price. On the contrary - happiness that we thresh it and get such a result," said Leonid Zayats.

He also noted that many farms are already following this path in the republic. As worthy examples - the poultry farm RUE "Belorusneft-Osobino", the agricultural complex "Dzerzhinsky". According to the Deputy Prime Minister, today there is no need to buy grain at a high price outside our country - it is possible to produce the required amount on Belarusian lands. “These Belarusian enterprises, like the Zarya agricultural complex, demonstrate quite good results. At the request of the President, they develop themselves and help other farms through the efficient use of Belarusian land, modern technologies and a fleet of domestic equipment,” he said.
