This was announced during a rally on Victory Square in Vitebsk dedicated to the Independence Day, said the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin.
The HEAD of the region stressed that it fell to the current generations to strengthen the independence of the country. And it, in particular, is reinforced by the socio-economic stability of the state. Every year new objects of education, culture and sports are opened in the region. Technical re-equipment is being carried out at enterprises, in the agricultural sector and in healthcare institutions."One of the most important priorities of the country's socio-economic development is the formation of strong regions. Since the beginning of the current five-year period, the Vitebsk region has attracted about Br4 billion of investments from various sources into the economy. This is an indicator that ensures the sustainable development of the real sector of the economy, the social sphere, the growth of welfare and the life of the population, - said Alexander Subbotin. - The construction of a workshop for the production of vaccines on the premises of the BelVitunifarm society, the construction of a plant for the production of veterinary drugs by the Belkarolin society, the construction of new workshops and farms by the Vitebsk broiler poultry farm, the modernization of the Orsha flax mill, mastering innovative technologies in production of footwear by the Belwest society and more.Reconstruction of the Vitebsk City Central Clinical Hospital, facilities in the Glubokoe district in preparation for the regional "Dozhinki", two family-type houses in the Gorodok and Lioznensky districts, construction of a kindergarten for 200 places in Miory has begun.
Against the backdrop of difficult economic conditions, the region ensures the growth of exports of goods and services. Every fourth exported product belongs to high- and medium-tech products. "The growth of EXPORT sales is ensured by ferrous metal structures, wood fiber boards, seamless steel cylinders, building bricks, synthetic thread tows, canned MEAT, baby food, powdered and condensed MILK, rapeseed and butter. Foreign trade operations are carried out with 95 countries products are exported to 67 countries," added the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
