July 16,
MINSK . Belarusian
Ice cream was sold to Armenia for the first time through the exchange, BELTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE).
The first deal was concluded to
EXPORT dry mix for ice cream production to this country. The buyer was a trading and manufacturing company from Yerevan, accredited at BUCE in May of this year, and the seller was one of the
MILK processing enterprises of the Gomel Region.
Thus, the range of domestic dairy products sold to the Armenian market through the exchange platform has expanded. Until now, only dry
milk and
butter were exported to this country from the entire range of Belarusian dairy products .
"Based on the results of the first half of the year, Armenia entered the top ten largest buyers of dry milk and butter in exchange trading. At the same time, the import of butter has already exceeded the figure for the entire last year. At the same time, the most popular commodity item among Armenian companies is still dry skim milk. In 2025, this
product accounted for 65% of the total volume of exchange exports to Armenia," the press service of the commodity exchange said.
As of July 16, 63 residents of Armenia were accredited at BUCE, 15 of which began participating in exchange trading in 2025. Compared to January-June
2024 , the Belarusian-Armenian exchange trade turnover increased by 1.6 times. Dry whole and skim milk, butter, edged softwood lumber and non-ferrous scrap metal were supplied to Armenia. In turn, Armenian companies mainly sold pig iron and plastic products to BUTB.
