In Moscow clinics, a program of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for CORONAVIRUS is being launched, which will allow mass testing of residents, said Sergei Sobyanin

Muscovites will soon receive invitations to be tested for coronavirus in polyclinics, and up to 70,000 people a week will be examined through these invitations. This was announced at a meeting with members of the Moscow clinical committee on covid-19 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

He spoke about the deployment in Moscow of a blood enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) system. “This week we are moving on to the practical implementation of this program. Already this week, our 30 polyclinics will start taking blood from Muscovites for screening tests. Up to 70 thousand Muscovites will receive a weekly invitation to come to the clinic and take an ELISA test for the disease, ”the mayor explained (quoted by TASS).

According to him, the introduction of ELISA technology will allow in the near future to conduct 100 thousand tests per day, and in the future to bring this number to 200 thousand.

“Today we are faced with the next task - to reach the next level of quality and quantity of testing through ELISA systems. Moscow has the technical ability to increase ELISA diagnostics to 100,000 tests per day,” Sobyanin said.
