The Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant became a laureate of the competition for the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality in 2023, and was also awarded a special award in the category “Management Excellence”. This high rating once again confirmed: Kobrin cheese makers always produce only the best - and never change this rule.

Quality worthy of buyers

The highest quality of products produced in Kobrin was confirmed by another equally significant award. At the 65th meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the CIS countries, which was held in MINSK from June 20 to 21, the winners of the competition for the 2023 CIS Prize for achievements in the field of quality of products and services were honored. Among the 22 enterprises that won the competition, nine are Belarusian, including OJSC Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant.

The employees of the enterprise were very pleased with such a high assessment of their work, but it did not cause surprise, because Kobrin MILK has always been valued primarily for its quality. There is hardly a family in our country whose refrigerator does not have a block of cheese produced here, and whose freezer does not have a couple of packs of ice cream in bright packaging.

Five products produced at Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant OJSC were awarded by the jury of the republican competition “Best Products of the Republic of Belarus - 2023”. Moreover, three of them are cheeses: soft whey “Adygeisky”, natural rennet “Mondegrin”, and slime “Debrinois”, recognized as the winner in the “New of the Year” category. The latter is also called “washed rind” cheese. It is impossible to confuse this product with others, since it has a refined creamy taste with notes of mushrooms and fruits.

– Among the abundance of dairy products, many Belarusians are looking for their favorite products from the brands “Kobrin Cheeses”, “Brinko Ice”, “Udachny Vybor”. Therefore, it is not surprising, but rather natural, that the products of Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant OJSC were among the best in Belarus at the end of last year, the company notes.

Known and appreciated all over the world

High assessment of the quality of Kobrin cheeses by the international and domestic markets allowed the company to take a leading position in the country. More than 90% of cheeses are exported . The products of OJSC "Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant" are readily purchased in RUSSIA, Kazakhstan, CHINA, Georgia, Israel and other countries. And the geography of exports is constantly expanding. The plans include deliveries to several new directions at once - to Armenia, India, Qatar and Serbia.

In addition to cheese, dry whey, butter ,mustard , whole milk and fermented milk products . And, of course, the famous Kobrinice cream . The taste of real ice cream, familiar since Soviet times, was highly appreciated even by Chinese consumers. It was also noted by members of the jury of the republican competition "Best Products of the Republic of Belarus - 2023". The list of leaders includes a popsicle ice cream with vanilla flavor in cocoa-containing glaze “Favorite Brest”. This ice cream with a classic creamy taste, coated in a chocolate glaze that melts in your mouth, has become a favorite treat for many children and adults.

The fifth product from the list of the best was Provencal Kobrinsky mayonnaise . It is made without the use of animal fats and contains provitamin A, which is beneficial for the body. Classic mayonnaise will complement any fish, MEAT and vegetable dishes, giving them an appetizing appearance and a piquant taste.

The management of the enterprise is confident that a high-quality and useful product can be created only if high-quality raw materials were used in its production. That is why the Kobrin MSZ fruitfully interacts with the farms of its raw material zone, providing them with financial and advisory assistance.

Of course, cheese making remains the main area of ​​production activity. But the company is not only proud of its cheeses. There is also a butter factory here. It was with the production of butter, as well as cottage cheese and sour cream, that the enterprise began its work back in 1939. Currently, the workshop has changed its appearance, expanded the range of products, and increased capacity. The cottage cheese section was reconstructed with the installation of a new line for the production and vacuum packaging of cottage cheese and soft cheeses. The product, manufactured on a new line using traditional technology, has a delicate taste and consistency.

The production of cottage cheese and soft cheeses is carried out in a closed process, the equipment is characterized by a high level of automation, minimal contact of the product with the external environment, improves the quality and safety of products, increases shelf life, and improves appearance. Modern vacuum packaging , high quality cottage cheese and soft cheeses have increased the competitiveness of products, which are appreciated by buyers not only of the Republic of Belarus, but also of Russia and a number of other countries.

To ensure comprehensive milk processing, a workshop for the production of skimmed milk powder was put into operation in November 1989. German and Czech-made equipment was installed. Since then, the modernization of the workshop has practically not stopped, the range of products has expanded, production volumes have increased, and new technologies and equipment have been introduced. Today, in addition to dry products (demineralized whey powder, whole and skimmed milk substitutes), the workshop produces a wide range of products: ice cream, processed cheeses , mayonnaise, mustard, dry and liquid mixtures for soft ice cream.

– Using new technologies, well-selected components, starter cultures, Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant OJSC today can successfully compete in the international market and provide products with consistently high quality indicators and affordability. This is confirmed by numerous awards from both republican and international exhibitions and competitions. But the main thing is the words of gratitude from consumers who again and again choose products produced in Kobrin on store shelves, the company notes.

OJSC "Kobrin MSZ" is a modern enterprise with high technologies and competent specialists. This is a city-forming plant, the share of which in the volume of industrial production of the Kobrin region in 2023 was 32.2%. Over the past year, the company processed 223 thousand tons of milk (or 109.7%).
