According to him, the strategic task for the meat industry is to grow and occupy its niche in new markets, as well as maintain positions in traditional ones. "Last year we exported about 400,000 tons. Our people are known and loved, our products are valued abroad," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.Alexander Subbotin also touched upon the topic of export diversification. “The main volume of deliveries was focused on the Russian market. But we are now actively trying to develop the Chinese market, we look with great hopes at the markets of Islamic states, African countries. it is quite difficult to enter the European market, because they are very tough and intensive in protecting themselves, but We strive to prove ourselves there," he said.
"In addition, we are moving towards goods with a higher added value. And these are not only sausages, but also smoked meats, pickles, semi-finished products," the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
