2022 turned out to be successful for the staff of the Lakneya branch of UE PriortransAgro, which is located in the Kopyl district of the MINSK region. Local farmers have achieved impressive results in both crop and livestock production. On the eve of the professional holiday, we visited the farm and found out through what decisions they achieve significant achievements from year to year.

There are 10 thousand tons!

The farmers of the Lakneya branch in the Kopyl district were the first to finish the harvesting. As early as August 17, when the harvest had just crossed the equator on some farms, the last tons of grain were harvested from the local fields.

- The fertility of our soils is not the best, - says Alexander Piletsky, deputy DIRECTOR of the Lakneya branch of UE PriortransAgro. “However, thanks to hard and measured work, we have achieved an excellent result. The gross harvest of cereals and legumes this year exceeded 10.5 thousand tons. And the average yield was 48 centners per hectare.

This harvest was one of the largest in history for the farm. Several crews distinguished themselves in grain harvesting. Good results were shown by the crew of father and son Oleg and Dmitry Maisyuk. High figures for threshing were noted in the tandem of Alexander Karpuchka and Vadim Dubovsky.

- All our experts have shown a high class, - continues the deputy director. - Taking into account not the highest score of soils, we were faced with the task of carefully observing the technology of cultivating crops. I will not hide: the weather also helped a lot. She has been kind this year. it rained when it was needed, and during the harvesting days it was dry almost all the time. This favorably influenced the final result.

In addition to cereals, rapeseed was a good crop in the Lakneya branch. This year it was possible to harvest over 2 thousand tons of oilseeds. The volume has already been sent for processing to specialized enterprises.

Liter by liter...

MILK , as noted by Alexander Piletsky, is one of the important sources of funds for the enterprise. At the time of our visit, the morning milking was just finishing at the dairy farm.

Milkmaid Irina Khlebko notes: this work is far from for everyone:

- A really special job. Early in the morning you should already be at the farm, as they say, fully armed. Next - a few hours of milking and related tasks. And we must not forget that cows are very sensitive animals. They must be treated with respect and care. Then, in conjunction with the rest, you can count on good performance.

Milkmaid Lilia Kuryacheva agrees with her colleague. In her opinion, this profession is not chosen just like that:

- We need a special warehouse of character and understanding that this is, first of all, hard physical labor. He makes adjustments to his work schedule. Not everyone can get used to getting up early. And you need to know how to deal with cows. They are, after all, living beings.

High competencies and experience allow to achieve good results. Thus, the average milk yield per cow for January-September of the current year amounted to 5302 kg. The growth, compared to the same period in 2021, is impressive - almost 114%. Slightly more than 80% of the milk is extra grade.

The farm is actively engaged in forage harvesting. So, for 9 months, farmers have prepared 22.2 thousand tons of grain and grain haylage, as well as 21.8 thousand tons of silage. This volume is enough to ensure the forage safety of the enterprise.

Construction is an indicator of development

The development of its own infrastructure and material and technical base speaks of the success of the enterprise and large-scale plans for the future. This is especially true for the agricultural sector.

- We always rely on development, without which there is no way in a competitive environment. Recently, several more buildings for keeping cattle have begun to be erected. In total, they will accommodate about 900 animals. It is planned that the work will be completed next year.

At the final stage

However, individual field work continued at the enterprise in early November. In particular, agrarians completed the corn harvest. The driver Vladimir Nikolaenya is also busy with these works.

- We make several flights a day, - says the specialist. - In the autumn, the process is somewhat complicated. Of course, we are talking about weather conditions. Often the rules are dictated by mudslides. However, we are accustomed to this development of events and we know what needs to be done.

The weather this fall is amazing. If September turned out to be record cold and rainy, then October and November will be remembered for a small amount of precipitation and an abundance of sunny days. Such an unusual meteorological combination for the second half of autumn makes it possible to complete preparations for the winter period in a short time.

- We have already finished all the sowing works, - says Alexander Piletsky. - All that remains is plowing and climbing into the fall. All agrotechnical work is going according to the schedules, which is good news. And this gives hope for a good result next year.

Farmers have three winter months ahead - you can take a short break. However, even in times of calm, when the fields are covered with a thick blanket of snow, specialists will have a lot of worries.

- First of all, it is necessary to prepare the equipment for the new season, because the spring sowing begins, depending on weather conditions, approximately in March. That is, we must be ready to go into the fields fully armed at any moment. I am sure that next season will be no less productive, - said Alexander Piletsky.

The branch of "Lakney" is famous for its high daily weight gain of cattle. So, for 9 months of 2022, the figure was 647 grams, or 105% compared to the same period in 2021.
