7 February, Polotsk. The Polotsk Dairy Plant will have an increased raw material base to better utilize its existing production capacities. This was announced to journalists by Leonid Zayats, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government, after discussing the enterprise's development strategy, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The member of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic noted that the Polotsk enterprise is going through hard times. "This enterprise has found itself in a very difficult economic situation. Radical decisions are required from the district and regional executive committees. A set of measures must be taken to get out of this situation. First of all, we must decide on the raw material loading of this plant. The capacity is large - almost 800 tons per shift, and today we are loading only 300 tons. There is an obvious shortage of raw materials, and this, naturally, affects the volume of commercial products that are not manufactured, which affects the financial condition of the enterprise," Leonid Zayats said.
He added that the company's
products are of high quality, they have their consumers, but there is a clear shortage of them on the market of our republic. "The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has made a decision to determine the raw material zone for this plant, to increase the current load by approximately 1.7 times, to provide an opportunity to increase revenue from product sales by 25-30 percent. This will allow the plant to fulfill its financial obligations, pay for purchased
MILK without delay , pay for its obligations for energy resources, water drains," he said.
The meeting also discussed the modernization of the plant. "We are talking about the reconstruction of the boiler house, where efficient boilers will be installed, which will allow steam to be supplied to the technological lines of the enterprise. Issues of financial support were also discussed. We reached an understanding with the bank, with the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, we found an acceptable solution that will stabilize this enterprise," Leonid Zayats summed up.
