August 20, MINSK. Belarus and our President are not in danger of starvation. Nikolai Radoman, chairman of the board of the Snov agricultural complex, shared this opinion with a BelTA correspondent.
“The development and support of agriculture in Belarus has been going on for more than a dozen years. We did not stop in place, we moved, increased production, expanded. A very correct decision was made by the President on the construction of agro-towns, which gave a large influx of rural residents, enabled enterprises to build housing in the countryside. The state has always helped and now helps: loans are given at a low interest rate, farm construction is carried out at a low rate, leasing equipment. All this is a complex of large state measures that gave impetus to the development of the agro-industrial complex in the country, especially dairy cattle breeding," Nikolay said. Radoman.
At the same time, there are no difficulties in agriculture, the chairman of the board of the agricultural complex noted. “For example, there hasn’t been a single rain for two weeks. Money has been invested in SUGAR beet, corn, but there is no rain. Therefore, not everything depends today on the professionalism of people. Of course, we try. Over the years, our industry has begun to produce a lot of perfect equipment. And it is no worse than foreign-made equipment. Today I have five Gomselmash combines on the farm and next year I will take two more combines. There is an opportunity to purchase them on lease," he explained. "We still invest a lot of money in processing. We EXPORT about 5 million cans of canned MEAT to Moscow a year.
Belarus is not threatened with famine, Nikolai Radoman stated. “Meat, cheeses, MILK , products from milk processing - everything is there. Therefore, I think that no crisis is terrible for us. We, the agrarians, have created the most fundamental food security of our country,” he noted and added: “As long as we have our President, No famine threatens Belarus. Our HEAD of state is a wise man. And his wise, far-sighted policy in the agricultural sector brings results."
