Agricultural production in Belarus increased by 3.5% in January-October

November 15, MINSK. The production of rural products in farms of all categories (in agricultural organizations, peasant (farmer) farms, households) in January-October amounted to Br29.6 billion and increased by 3.5% compared to the same period in 2021 in comparable prices, BelTA informs. at the National Statistical Committee.

Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br23.5 billion, or 2.7% more in comparable prices than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Farms of all categories produced 1.439 million tons of livestock and poultry, 6.6 million tons of MILK and almost 3 billion eggs. Agricultural organizations account for 97% of livestock and poultry production in live weight, 97.3% of milk and 83.8% of eggs.

As of November 1, 2022, there were 4.1 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.3 million.
