Agricultural production in Belarus grew by 2.9% in February

March 15, MINSK. In February 2023, farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farmer) households and households) produced goods worth Br3.008 billion, which is 2.9% more in comparable prices compared to the same period last year. This was reported to BelTA in the National Statistical Committee.

Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br2.952 billion, or 3.2% more in comparable prices than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Farms of all categories produced 294.3 thousand tons of livestock and poultry in live weight, MILK - 1.279 million tons. In agricultural organizations, the production of livestock and poultry in live weight amounted to 285.4 thousand tons and increased by 4.3%, 1.26 million tons of milk were produced (3.8% more).

As of March 1, 2023, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.3 million.
