We recorded 2022 as a productive and productive year in the asset of the agrarians "Pioner-Agro", which is in the Kopyl district of MINSK region. And what tasks the specialists of the enterprise set for themselves for the next year - read in our report.

Base of future success

According to the results of harvesting 2022, Pioner-Agro OJSC harvested a little more than 14.3 thousand tons of grain with an average yield of 48.5 centners per hectare. This is about 1,500 more than last year. The farm is one of the locomotives of the agricultural sector of the region. However, the decrease is explained by objective factors.

- The reason is quite banal: we have revised the structure of crops in principle, - introduces the DIRECTOR of Pioneer-Agro OJSC Alexander Logish. – In particular, we sowed a little more corn and SUGAR beets. The shortfall in grain was compensated by corn for grain. Why did they focus on beets? The answer, as they say, is on the surface. Our soils are very suitable for this crop, and a good harvest is obtained.

The farm sets itself a simple task: to make each next year better than the previous one.

– This is what we are working on right now, laying the foundation for future success. If everything is done on time, then the final result will please us, - Alexander Logish is sure.

Rapeseed - real money

The 2022 rapeseed harvest was good and of high quality. Many agricultural enterprises rely on this crop, and Pioneer-Agro is no exception.

– This year we have done very well in rapeseed. The threshing amounted to almost 3 thousand tons. The yield is 55.1 centners per hectare, which is 20% higher than a year earlier. Of course, this result can be proud of. However, we have big plans. We expect to further develop this area, increase the shaft and productivity of this crop, - explains the HEAD.

Alexander Logish believes that rapeseed will become an increasingly popular crop. And more and more areas will be given under it.

- After all, this is real money, - the head of Pioneer-Agro OJSC notes. - However, rapeseed is a rather whimsical culture. It must be carefully looked after, all manipulations must be performed within the exact agrotechnical terms. Then the result will be excellent.

More than 30 tons every day

It is this volume of MILK that Pioneer-Agro livestock breeders deliver to processing enterprises. This direction in the economy is a priority - "white gold" brings a lot of profit. The enterprise contains almost 7 thousand heads of cattle. Of these, a little more than 2.1 thousand are dairy herds.

We are trying to increase the number of livestock. This year, for example, they added 300 heads, of which 60 are dairy herds. For 10 months, the average milk yield was 5437 kilograms. And at the end of the year, it is expected to be significantly higher than in 2021,” says the head.

The farm focuses not only on the quantity, but also on the quality of the product. The head of the laboratory, Olga Zdanovich, notes that before being sent to processing plants, each batch of milk undergoes strict control over a variety of parameters. By the way, more than 90% of the milk milked at Pioneer-Agro OJSC is of the extra grade.

– Of course, we follow, because both the quality and the reputation of our company depend on it. In the laboratory, we determine, first of all, the grade of milk, its fat content and the presence of foreign substances. And, I must say, all raw materials meet the highest quality standards, - the manager notes.

Equally important is the care of animals. Calf breeder Anastasia Raykhelson explains: the better you treat the cows, the higher the performance indicators.

- This is a direct connection. Animals are like children. It is important to take good care of them. Only in this case, and this can be seen in our example, the result will not be long in coming, - says the specialist.

Stern safety

The farm successfully completed the task of harvesting fodder. Over 26,000 tons of haylage and about 25,000 tons of silage were laid. Created a stock of hay - 1.6 thousand tons.

– This volume will be enough with a margin until May, when we plan to make the first mowing in 2023. By the way, in the Kopyl district we have the highest supply of feed: on average, about 31.8 centners per head. This is a very good indicator,” says Alexander Logish.

Fundamentally, not only the quantity, but also the quality of feed, as well as storage conditions. This parameter is carefully monitored at the enterprise.

– Of course, we pay great attention to this aspect. After all, only high-quality feed makes it possible to ensure high milk yields and weight gain, - added the head of Pioneer-Agro OJSC.

The team is the key to success

JSC "Pioneer-Agro" employs about 300 specialists. There is practically no concept of staff turnover at the enterprise. This suggests that the work here is loved and appreciated. In turn, the management does everything to make the team comfortable.

– We try to give our people high wages and other preferences. However, we require a lot. The employee must be disciplined and responsible. Otherwise, in agriculture in any way. Random people, if they come to us, do not stay long. We need a result, - the head Alexander Logish argues and adds that the team at Pioner-Agro OJSC is excellent: - I am confident in my people. Everyone clearly understands their task. There are no problems with motivation - everyone knows what they are working for.

Building for the future

One of the markers of the success of an agricultural enterprise is the construction of new production facilities. In JSC "Pioneer-Agro" this process is permanent. This year, a new grain drying complex ZSK-60 was put into operation on the farm, which proved to be excellent during the harvest. The construction of another dairy complex, which is located near the village of Krasny Partizan, continues.

“The work is going on with might and main even in such frosts,” says Anatoly Zhoglo, foreman of Pioner-Agro OJSC. - Construction completed. One of the most important tasks ahead is the installation of equipment. In general, everything is going according to schedule. In a few months, a dairy herd will already be standing at the complex.

The capacity of the new ITC will be 600 heads of cattle. The construction is carried out both at its own expense (the farm has invested more than 1.6 million rubles in the project), and with the support of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

– The most modern equipment of one of the leading German manufacturers will be installed on the farm. This will significantly increase milk production,” Anatoly Zhoglo added.

By the way, the new facility will create additional jobs, it is planned to take about 30 new specialists to the farm.

– Every year we try to renovate at least one room for keeping cattle from those that no longer meet modern standards. This gives a practical result. The indicators are eloquent: milk production has increased significantly over the past three years. The weight gain has also become noticeably higher. As you know, it is livestock that brings profit. This means that we began to earn more, and this allows us to count on further development, - said the director of the enterprise Alexander Logish.

winter worries

Despite the winter, there is enough work at Pioner-Agro OJSC. First of all, specialists need to prepare equipment for spring sowing. The success of field work depends on this factor, as a result - the quantity and quality of the crop.

The weather plays an important role in agriculture. It is impossible to guess when the heavenly office will allow you to start work in the fields. Therefore, we must be fully armed at any moment. Including in terms of technology, - the head of Pioneer-Agro OJSC emphasizes.

Alexander Logish is sure that if all the work is carried out within the agrotechnical deadlines, the harvest will be good.

We look to the coming year with optimism. We set ourselves up for a good result. We hope that the indicators for the grain group will become much higher. We will make every effort to achieve this,” the director concluded.

Supplement with MEAT

The enterprise contains about 2 thousand fattening bulls, which are sold for processing to various enterprises. The average daily weight gain of cattle is 653 grams this year.
