March 15, Moscow. The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission established transitional provisions for amendments to the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union "On the safety of MILK and dairy products", which were adopted by the decision of the EEC Council on September 23, 2022. This was reported to BelTA in the press service of the commission.

"A transitional period has been determined - 180 calendar days - during which documents on the assessment of the conformity of dairy products (documents on state registration of products - information on state registration of products contained in the unified register of specialized food products) are valid with the requirements established by the technical regulation of the union "On the safety of dairy products" issued or accepted before September 22, 2023," the EEC noted.

If such conformity assessment documents are available, within 180 calendar days, production and release into circulation of dairy products in the customs territory of the EAEU is allowed. Its circulation is allowed during the expiration date set by the manufacturer.

"Changes to the technical regulation were made in order to adjust the conceptual apparatus of the technical regulation based on the results of law enforcement practice. They will come into force on September 22, 2023," the EEC specified.
