Petr Parkhomchik. 15 November, Brest. In 2024 , Brest Oblast received a unique harvest of grain, legumes, buckwheat, and rapeseed. This was announced in Ivanovo District by Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik during a ceremony honoring workers in agriculture and the processing industry of the agro-industrial complex, BelTA has learned.

Petr Parkhomchik noted that he came to congratulate rural workers in the district that achieved the best results in 2024. "Despite the vagaries of the weather, Brest Oblast managed to achieve high results in agriculture. Moreover, many of the results are record-breaking for our region. We received a unique harvest of grain, legumes, buckwheat, and rapeseed - 2,078 thousand tonnes in total. A record for the entire history of Brest Oblast. At the same time, good results were achieved in terms of yield - 42.1 c/ha," the chairman of the regional executive committee emphasized. A record was also set for rapeseed. In the southwestern region, 239 thousand tons were threshed, the yield reached 34.1 c/ha. In addition, more than 1 million tons of SUGAR beet were dug up in the region.

Such a result is the contribution of each person, farm, and district. "It is very important that Ivanovo District made a significant contribution to this common loaf of Brest Region. You are the absolute leaders in MILK production. And in general, you occupy an honorable third place in the republic (in milk yield per cow. - BELTA note)," - noted Petr Parkhomchik.

The HEAD of Brest Region emphasized that during the celebration of the regional "Dazhynaki" in Mikashevichi, the President set serious tasks for Brest Region to increase production volumes in crop production and livestock farming. The head of state aimed at Brest Region to obtain 2.5 million tons of grain crops. According to Petr Parkhomchik, this will not be easy, but possible.

"In principle, if we want, we will achieve this result. it is important that everyone at their workplace fulfills the technological requirements that have been developed and recommended. Then all tasks will be solved. The desire and aspiration to produce more plant products is one of the most important tasks for the regions. Yes, we can boast of milk (we are absolutely the first in our country). We grow more vegetables, fruit crops, berries than anyone else (we have no equal here). But in plant growing, which is the basis for livestock farming, it will be necessary to maximize production," the chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee aimed.

Pyotr Parkhomchik warmly congratulated workers in agriculture and the processing industry on the holiday. He presented awards to honored workers.
