2024 , the total volume of exchange transactions carried out by enterprises of the Presidential Administration amounted to Br128.4 million, which is 71% more than the same period last year. Such data were presented at a training seminar for managers of enterprises included in the system of the Presidential Administration at the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, BELTA was told in the BUCE press service.
To discuss current issues of participation in exchange trading and prospects for increasing trade turnover in the domestic and foreign markets, representatives of almost 50 organizations under the jurisdiction of the UDP, from healthcare, tourism and recreation to construction and housing and communal services, gathered at the BUCE central office.
"The system of UDP organizations has many years of positive experience in using the exchange mechanism. Over the 7 months of this year, the total volume of exchange transactions carried out by UDP enterprises amounted to Br128.4 million, which is 71% more than the same period in 2023. The majority of transactions (62.6 %) is occupied by product sales with an increase in volumes of more than three times,” said Evgenia Borodinskaya,
HEAD of the BUTB Exchange Education Center.
In terms of product sections, the greatest dynamics over seven months was shown by forest products (2.4 times), where, due to rising prices during the bidding process,
it was possible to obtain additional revenue in the amount of $719.1 thousand. This section accounts for half of the volume of transactions concluded by UDP organizations, in second place are
agricultural products with a share of almost 40%. The most actively sold through the exchange are lumber,
butter , MILK powder ,
MEAT and endocrine-enzyme raw materials for
EXPORT , and oilseed meal, round timber, feed additives, phosphates, cake, vegetable oils and oilseeds are purchased.
The participants of the seminar were also told about other product areas and new tools that will help increase the activity and efficiency of the work of management organizations on the stock exchange. In particular, a significant economic effect in purchasing activities can be provided by participation in bidding in the sections of promising goods, metal products, industrial and consumer goods, as well as on the zakupki.butb.by platform.
In addition, the influx of additional resources into economic circulation is provided by the sale of unused property through the exchange electronic platforms “BUTB-Property” and “Unliquid assets”. This means that the procurement mechanisms and procedures implemented at BUCE, as well as the sale of goods and services, are applicable in almost all industries represented in the UDP system.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of BUTB Irina Narkevich emphasized the commonality of tasks that are solved by the Presidential Administration and the exchange. Yes,
workUDP is aimed at preserving, increasing and effectively using the resources and material assets of Belarus, and the exchange sees one of its main tasks as introducing modern mechanisms into the economic practices of domestic enterprises, thus contributing to improving the well-being of the state. “A commodity exchange is not only an effective tool for promptly concluding transactions for the purchase and sale of a wide variety of products, but also a marketing service of republican significance that works in the interests of enterprises,” concluded the Deputy Chairman of BUCE.
To intensify the use of exchange trading, the heads of UDP organizations present at the seminar became interested, among other things, in the courses of the Center for Exchange Education, which is the first and so far the only educational structure of its kind in Belarus. The center's programs are designed in such a way as to step by step study and master in practice all stages of work on each BUCE trading platform. During the 10 months of operation of the Exchange Education Center, about 500 students from Belarus and
RUSSIA completed training. According to statistics, every tenth student comes from companies whose employees have already studied at the center.
