August 5, Pastavy. President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO visited a local dairy plant during his trip to Postavy, BelTA has learned.

At the enterprise, the HEAD of state got acquainted with the process of cheese production, and also tasted several types of products.

"Very tasty. Very good!" - Alexander Lukashenko shared his impressions.

At the plant, the President was also shown new beef sausages from the Glubokoe MEAT Processing Plant. "We can do everything!" - appreciated the head of state.

"And tasty!" - added the governor of the Vitebsk region Alexander Subbotin.

On the basis of the Postavy Dairy Plant, an agro-industrial association of 6 organizations was created (in total, 137 organizations in the Vitebsk region were covered by the integration experiment). In January-July, the merger received over Br100 million in proceeds from the sale of products, which is a third more than last year's level. Return on sales amounted to almost 15%.

The Postavy Dairy Plant began operating in 1963 as a skimmed MILK powder plant. But the first archival information about the presence of a milk processing enterprise in the city is found in pre-war sources. Therefore, the date of birth of the milk processing plant is considered to be July 1, 1939.

In the late 80s, the enterprise was transferred to the Glubokoe Milk Canning Plant as a production site, the activity of which was to receive milk from farms.

In 2013, the production of hard cheeses appeared at the plant. Now this product is the main one in the structure of production: cheese production accounts for more than 72%. Almost 14% is the production of whole milk products, 10.4% - animal butter.
