October 7, Mogilev. A low-quality smoked cheese product was sold in the Klimovichi district. BelTA was informed about this in the regional inspection of the State Standard.

Dangerous Russian-made products were identified by inspectors during an inspection of one of the private enterprises. A milk-containing smoked product with a MILK fat substitute was found on sale, produced using the technology of semi-hard cheese "Kosichka smoked" with the marking "Rusana" (mass fraction of fat in dry matter 40%).

Based on the results of the inspection, it was found that the products do not meet the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of food products", "On the safety of milk and dairy products", "Food products in terms of their labeling". In fact, the mass fraction of milk fat in the product amounted to only 5.8% of the total fat content. This indicates the replacement of milk fat by its substitute by 94.2% at a rate of not more than 50%.

"This does not allow the product to be identified as a milk-containing product and misleads the consumer as to the type of food product to which the manufacturer has deliberately given the appearance and certain properties of a milk-containing product with a milk fat substitute, but at the same time it cannot be identified as the product for which it is issued," - concluded in the regional inspection.

Gosstandart banned the import and sale of this product on the territory of Belarus.
