Milk, canned food, bread, mashed potatoes and fruits: what is included in the food package for refugees

November 19, Grodno. MILK , canned food, bread, instant mashed potatoes, sweets and even fruits are part of the food packages that are given to refugees at the border. This was announced today to journalists by the Secretary General of the Belarusian Red Cross Dmitry Shevtsov, BelTA has learned.

Now, about 2,000 people are in the temporary accommodation center for refugees in the transport and logistics center, opened on behalf of President ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO. They are provided with everything necessary, including food. About 8 tons of products are delivered to them daily. Hot meals - tea and cereals - are prepared by the military, volunteers distribute pre-formed food packages.

The contents were shown to journalists. The package includes 2 liters of milk, bread, two cans of canned MEAT, two cans of canned fish, instant puree, sausage, as well as confectionery and fruits such as pomegranate. “We form about 4 tons of such sets every day. it is important that people feel fed,” Dmitry Shevtsov said.

He stressed that a sufficient stock of products has been formed in the warehouses in Grodno. Now there are almost 15 tons of them there. Cars with humanitarian aid come from all over the country every day. Part of the meat products, especially canned food, is transferred to the military unit, where porridge with stew is prepared for the refugees.
